Chapter 57

Izayoi's P. O. V:

"Really? No nightmares since that mission to Arashigakure?" Kakashi asks as we walk down a near empty street of the Hidden Leaf Village. It's been nearly two weeks since that mission and I really haven't had any nightmares.

I nod as I hum. "Uh huh. No nightmares about Hideki, at least. I've been sleeping a bit better."

Kakashi and studies me as I gaze up at him. "That's good."

He smiles and kisses me tenderly which I return, my arms going around his neck.

"Ahem!" Someone clears their throat from behind us and we jerk around to see Kasumi. She has her hands on her hips as she asks, "Am I interrupting you two?"

I say, "Not at all. What is it, Kasumi?"

She tells us, "Tsunade-sama wants to see the three of us for a mission."

I blink my eyes as I say, "Really? The three of us?" The blonde nods her head.

"Yup. Right now."

Kakashi says with a closed eye smile, "Alright then. Let's go."

Kasumi, Kakashi and I are now standing before the Hokage in her office as she explains our mission to us.

"Your mission to escort Leo Adachi of the wealthy Adachi family back to his hometown, in Biei Town. It's an S Ranked mission."

"You're to leave in fifteen minutes. Your client will be waiting for you at the main gates. Dismissed."

"Yes, Hokage-sama!" We chime before exiting and going home to prepare for the mission.

Kakashi and I arrive at the gates just after Kasumi, to see a young man with spiky orange hair and eye covered with blue tinted shades.

"Are you Leo Adachi?" Kakashi asks, gaining his attention. He nods, pressing his glasses up.

"That's right."

"I'm Kakashi Hatake," My husband introduces.

"Izayoi Hatake," I add, causing the young man to raise an eyebrow but he doesn't comment on it.

Leo turns to my blonde teammate. She tells him, "Kasumi Kumo."

Kakashi speaks up, "Shall we get a move on, then? It'll take us four days to get to Biei Town."

We all agree and move into positions around Leo to guard him as we travel. The sun beats down on us and I hear birds chirping in the distance.

We didn't get ambushed once on the first day, and at sunset, we stop to sleep for the night. I cook the food after Kakashi uses his Fire Style to make the fire as Leo goes over to Kasumi and chats with her while they wait for dinner.

Kakashi leans forwards and takes a big whiff of the stew. He tells me, smiling, "That smells delicious, Izayoi-chan."

"Thank you."

"Is it nearly ready?"

"About one more hour. Why don't you go wait until I call everyone?" I suggest.

"Okay," He mumbles before going to sit on another log, leaving me to finish cooking dinner.

An hour later and it was ready. I call, "Dinner's ready!"

I scoop some stew into my bowl as everyone comes over. They get their meal before we perch on logs. I sit next to Kasumi as Kakashi sits near Leo.

"I saw you and Leo chatting over there," I tell her. She jerks her head to me in slight surprise.

"Really?"

I nod. "Yeah."

"We were just talking," She mutters.

We blow on our stew before we begin eating.
