𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐈-𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃

LONDON VACAY 2

After 30 minutes, we arrived at my parent's house— well not like in front of our yard but a few houses away from ours. We get off the car, I look around the area and saw a lot of things changed. The place I used to play and be goofy is now changed. There's a feeling inside of me that made me soft.

When we finally here in front of the gate, I waited for Sab to place her fingerprint since mine hasn't registered yet. We quietly get in, I'm hiding behind her. When she's already in front of the door, I quickly go to the back door just like what we planned.

I waited at the back door for her to open it. I can hear my mom greeting Sab when she let her in.

"What did you bring here? Do need something?". Mom asked, they are now at the back door where the dirty kitchen is that mostly used by our house helpers.

"A-ah! I just want to check you guys. I'm on my way to pick up Chloé too so I just drop by". Sab replied.

"Oh, Mom I almost forgot, I wonder if you still have cookies that you made last time? Chloé has been looking for it and she loves bringing it at her school". She added, the signal.

"Yeah, yeah, I made some more yesterday. Wait, I'll just get". I can hear mom's footsteps fading and then the door opened.

"Oh my god, I miss her so much". I said and get in the house.

I don't have time to admire some changes that happened in our not so big modern house and just proceed to our next plan. I tiptoed leaving the dirty kitchen to go near the main kitchen where mom is.

I can hear the sounds coming from the TV, that means dad is watching in the living room.

"Sab, Come here". Mom said. Sab quickly go to the kitchen and even signal me to get ready on her way.

"Just text me next time if Chloé is still asking for cookies, I can just bring it to your house". Mom said, packing the cookies.

"Okay! Well- actually, someone also want a cookies". That's the cue. I walk out from where I am hiding and casually go to the kitchen.

"Mom, I also want cookies and milk". I said, entering the kitchen.

The way my Mom's mouth wide open and her eyes, looking at me as I made my way to her.

"WHA—". I quickly signal her not to continue because of Dad.

"Call Dad!". I said and hide behind the counter.

"Appa!". Mom called him, a seconds later he's already there.

"Yeah?"

"APPA!!". I jumped out with hands in the air. His eyes grew bigger as if he just saw a ghost.

"Oh, Dad-". I panicked when he put his hand on his left chest. I run towards him.

"Kidding!". He straight his body with his hands pointing at me.

"Dad!". I slap his arm and walk away, go to Mom.

"Why are you here? Since when did you arrive? Why didn't you tell us?—"

"Woah, Mom! One question at a time- but first, I MISS YOU GUYS!". I hugged mom so hard. Before moving to my Dad who is still laughing at his not so funny prank.

"Don't do that again". I slap his arm again before hugging him.

"We miss you, sweetheart. I'm glad you arrived safe". He said, still hugging me.

"Well, is my surprise successful?". I look at my parents, the both shake their heads.

"Okay, I'll just go back to Korea". I said, feeling disappointed.

After catching up with my parents and answering their questions, I settled first in my room and Mom is helping me to arrange my things.

"You really will just stay here for five days?". She ask.

"Yeah, Mom. I can't stay longer, we still have work to do". I said, sitting in front of my study table setting up my laptop.

"Hmm, okay. But I'm so happy that you're here already. Let's make this trip of yours memorable". She said with her hands over my shoulder and her chin on top of my head. I hold her hands and smile.

When I'm all set, I decided to go with Sab to pick up Chloé to her school even though jet lag is slowly hitting me.

I'm now waiting inside the car while Sab went inside Chloé's school to pick her up. A minute later, I can see them walking out the school so I sit properly and wait for them to get in the car.

"And you know Mom, Kelsey cry because Janet accidentally bumped her lunch so I just gave the cookies that Grandma made". I stopped myself from giggling because Chloé being talkative as she hopped in the car.

"Aww, you're so swee-"

"AAAAAHH!". Chloé jumped from her seat and look at the person sitting at the shotgun seat.

"Hi?". I said, looking at her. She look like she just saw a ghost.

"Auntie!". She stand up go to me but I take off my seatbelt and get off the car so I can join her at the back seat.

"Oh my gosh, I miss you so so much". I said, hugging her tight.

"I miss you too~". She said softly, I can feel her stopping herself from crying.

The whole time we're on the way back to my parents house, I stay at the backseat to comfort Chloé. She's still in shock and keep stopping herself to cry that's why her mom decided to just let me sit at the backseat.

"Did you miss me?". I started a conversation.

"Hmm". She replied, nodding.

"If that's so, can you come with me to tour here?". I asked her.

"Mom, can I?". She looked at her mom, waiting for her mom's response.

"Of course! I already filed an excuse letter to your school, so I think it's all good!". Her mom respond which made her look at me with her eyes shining.

When we arrived at our house, suddenly tiredness slowly spreading throughout my body. I think my mom sense it and forced me sleep for the mean time. I didn't fight and just go to my room, the still same room I have before I left my hometown to reach my dream.

They say hi to my parents first before they go to their house to get some stuff since they'll be spending time at our house.

I was sleeping peacefully when-

"AAAHHH! MOM!". My eyes opened when I heard my sister screaming.

"What the fuck?". I asked, raising my eyebrows.

"What are you doing here?! Wait- you're here?! When did you get in here? Why are you here?". She bombarded me with questions.

"Geez, let me sleep first-"

"Why are you yelling?!". Mom arrived and slap her on her shoulder.

"Leave your sister alone for now, she haven't get any sleep. Ask her later". She drag my sister out of my room as I go back to sleep.

I switch position which made me woke up. I was about to get my phone at the right side table when I notice there's no side table just to realized that I'm home, I'm in London, I'm not in our dorm.

I didn't notice that tears slowly streaming down my cheeks. I sit up and look around my room, it's still the same. Despite of not being in this room for couple of years, they still make sure it looks the same and yes, it's clean.

I didn't waste more time and just went out my room, Mom and Dad is in the living room, watching.

"Mom... Dad...". I pout as I walk towards them.

"What is it?". Dad asked and leave a space between them.

"...". I started crying when Mom hug me.

"Is something wrong?". Mom ask but I shook my head.

"I just can't believe it that I'm here again. I really really miss this place and wanted to come home so badly but I can't. I'm so happy to be here".
