[Later that same day, 12:15 p.m.]

After his first class of the day, Levi made the decision not to return back to his apartment although he lived near campus. Instead, he decided to do his favorite thing.. find a quiet outdoor setting. A peaceful place to hide from prying eyes so he can relax and listen to his music or read a book.

The spot Levi settled on was underneath the bleachers located next to the university football field. He was surprised to see nobody else around at the time, figuring this area would most likely draw other students.. especially other outcasts such as himself. Removing one of his earpods from his pocket and a book from his backpack, he started his departure into relaxation. Well.. until he sensed a presence behind him and the smell of some dank ass weed.

"What the hell do you want?" Levi called out to the figure hiding behind one of the pillars of the bleachers. He turned his head to the side and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the person ash their blunt and walk towards him.

A huge evil smirk formed from cheek to cheek. Their glasses were shining brightly with an apparent glare, although there was no clear light source.. strange. They approached Levi's back and stopped.

"Levi, was it?" They took a pull from the blunt and blew the smoke in the air with style.

"What's it to you?" Levi said, seemingly unfazed but also a little irritated somebody was interrupting his alone time.

"I was watching you.." Their smirk somehow appearing wider and more menacing.

"Good to know. Now, go run along with your stalking ass.. I was trying to be alone." Levi turns slightly, able to get a better glimpse of the person behind him. It was the girl from his earlier class with the messy ponytail. Or were they a boy? Either way, Levi couldn't give two shits. He wanted his privacy back.

"I'm Hange, by the way!" She said as she pulled over a dusty milk crate and sat directly in front of Levi.

"Can't take a hint, huh? Four-Eyes?"

"Nope! Never could!" She exclaimed excitingly. "I finally caught you alone, and you are too interesting to pass up the chance to speak to!"

"Tch." Levi clicked his teeth and watched as Hange took another pull of her blunt. "Interesting? What a joke. There isn't a damn thing interesting about me. Now, can you leave me the hell alone?"

"Afraid I can't do that! I'm already mentally invested in learning more about you. Especially after what you did earlier in Professor Smith's class!"

"And what did I do exactly?" Levi tilted his head and furrowed his brows. As angry as he was for Hange taking up his precious time, he was also curious. He wasn't used to random strangers approaching him and sparking up a conversation. Hange didn't seem to be intimidated by him in the slightest.

"You stood up to Zeke. Nobody in their right mind would do such a thing! There is something about you.. I just can't put my finger on it! But.." The smirk slowly returned to her face. "..I won't stop until I find out what it is!"

"Fantastic."

Levi watched as Hange proceeded to stretch out her arm, trying to pass the blunt to him. He wasn't much of a marijuana smoker anymore, but Hange seemed cool enough. Her vibes were different than most people he's met. He accepted the offer, grabbed the small clip that was left, and took a long pull. He noticed as Hange watched intensively, the smile never wavering from her face. What was the deal with this chick?

"So what are you listening to?" Hange asked as she grabbed the rest of the clip from Levi's hand and watched as it burnt out.

"Tupac."

"AH 90'S RAP! FASCINATING! You have good taste."

"Better than the bullshit they put on the radio these days.." Levi said bluntly as he pulled a box of cigarettes out of his pocket.

"Indeed!"

Levi offered Hange a cigarette, and she accepted. The two of them spent the next half an hour chatting about music, majors, and sports. Actually, Hange did most of the talking. She was pretty yappy, but to his surprise, Levi seemed to enjoy her presence more than he wanted to admit.

"Well, I guess I will leave you to the rest of your chill session. I have a class in a few. Catch ya later, Levi!" She reached out her fist, and for a moment, he looked confused.

"Fist bump silly!"

"Oh.."

Levi extended his arm and made a fist, pushing it against Hange's.

"BOOOOOOM!" Hange exclaimed loudly while pulling her fist back, causing Levi to fall backward off the crate he was sitting on.

"BAHAHAHA! FIST BUMP EXPLOSION!" Hange snorted and waved as she continued giggling. Eventually, her figure disappeared from beneath the bleachers.

"Tch. Stupid Four-Eyes." Levi stood up and shook his dusty pants off and sighed. As annoyed as he was, he couldn't help but think he actually might have made a friend. An extremely irritating, loud, talkative, extroverted friend.. but a chill ass friend nonetheless. Somebody who didn't instantly judge him.. and for that, Levi was appreciative.
