[11:55 a.m.]

Levi stood outside his noon classroom door, rubbing his temples. Every single person who walked through the doorway gave him the strangest look. Although he was used to those types of looks, his patience was truly being tested since he didn't feel the greatest. He had a throbbing migraine. It was more than likely from the lack of sleep and from the intense fit of rage he unleashed on a punching bag earlier. He could tell he was also a bit dehydrated, but that would have to wait until after class. It was bad enough that he almost ended up late, not realizing the time.

Leaning his head back against the wall and closing his eyes, he tried to relax for a moment. Anything to help ease this terrible pain. It seemed it was beginning to work until he heard a horrible noise. God, it was the worst possible noise, at the worst possible time.

"OH LEVIIIIIII!" The sound of footsteps running down the hall followed along with the voice.

"You have to be shitting me.." Levi didn't even bother to move or open his eyes. He'd remember that voice anywhere. The running stopped in front of him, and he dared not move. Maybe if he pretends to be asleep, they will go away or something.

"Levi! Are you in this class?! How exciting! We have the same class! Let's go in before.. wait.. what's wrong with you? You good?"

"Oi Hange.. my head is killing me. Please, for the love of god, shut the hell up." Levi said as he opened up his eyes and turned to walk into the classroom. Hange followed slowly behind him and watched as Levi sat at the nearest empty desk and threw his head down on top of his arms. She sat directly beside him, smiling and staring at him the whole time.

"Here.."

Levi lifted his head to see Hange holding out a bottle of water and a medicine bottle of some sort. A huge grin still plastered on her face.

"T-thanks.. Four-Eyes." Levi wasn't familiar with the type of kindness that Hange radiated. He wanted to scrape that constant grin off her face, but he also wanted to hug her.. although he never really would. "Clutch. Seriously." Levi grabbed the water, chugged half, took 2 pills, and chugged the rest.

Just as he sat the empty bottle down on his desk, the professor walked in and started the lecture. Levi sat his arms back on the desk and nestled his head back on top of them. He didn't care if class started. He didn't need to see what was going on. He had ears.

About 15 mins or so had passed, and Levi's headache was finally starting to subside. He lifted his head, and just as he did, he noticed two kids trying to sneak into the classroom as the professor had their head turned. Everyone in the room giggled a bit when the one kid pushed the other one as they quietly tried to race to the two empty desks. They both sat on either side of Hange and began to chat with her.

"You guys are late to every class! What is wrong with you both?!" Hange said as she flicked the one kid in the forehead.

"Owww, cut it out.. and keep it down a little.." The one boy whispered as he rubbed his head.

"It's not my fault.. Connie was still hung over when I went to scoop him from Sasha's dorm. I found him with his head face first in a pizza box." The other boy said as he leaned his head on his hand and started drumming the desk with his fingertips. "Hey, what happened to your face?"

"I'm not sure, really. I woke up with this scratch and a small bruise on my face. It's probably something I did while I was shitfaced last night." Hange rubbed her sore face and snorted. "You know clumsy me!"

Levi listened back and forth between the professor and Hange and the two boys. He finally felt well enough to pull out his notebook and begin taking some notes. He occasionally glanced at Hange, noticing how content and happy she seemed to be in a learning environment. The total opposite of him. He then glanced at these two goofy boys Hange was talking with. They looked and sounded like idiots. Why would she associate with them anyway? Then again.. why would Hange associate with him? He figures she was just one of those people who tried to get along with everyone.
