[8:30 a.m.]

[Y/N] spent a long couple of hours at the gym. She was exhausted from her session and lacked sleep. She was also mentally drained from all of her worrying about Zeke. Thinking a workout session would have taken her mind off of things was probably a stupid idea, but at least she pushed herself extra hard this morning. There would probably end up being some regret from a back-to-back spin class and zumba class later, though.

Although she was going to school for medicine, dancing was her real first love. The feeling of the music flowing through her veins always made her feel empowered. The way it took control of her body, the way it would help ease the stress of everyday life.. even if only for a little while. She always told herself that if her major didn't work out, she would put all of her savings into opening a dance studio. It has always been a dream of hers since she was young. Sadly, it was a dream no one but her friends supported. Her parents always laughed in her face and told her it was a dead-end business with no growth and that she wasn't even that good at dancing anyway.

[Y/N] walked into the quiet girls' locker room, took a shower, changed into her clothes for the day, styled her hair, grabbed her belongings, and left. She was ready to relax for a while back at her own dorm before her noon class started.

"Shit, I'm starving.." She said to herself as she felt her stomach rumble. Her eyes drifted to the small cafe area by the gym entrance. She hated buying food or drinks there because they were so overpriced, but a fresh [your favorite flavor] smoothie did sound pretty good.

As she walked towards the cafe, she stopped in her tracks as she heard loud grunting coming from one of the small mirrored rooms off to the side. They were occasionally used for classes or instructed private workouts and such. Loud grunting in the gym is pretty normal, and she didn't think much of it until she heard a man start to yell in the room as well.

"Hey Levi! Levi! You are going to put a hole in the bag, bro! Relax, take a breather! Woosah, my guy."

That name.. [Y/N] remembered that name from the conversation she had the night before with Hange. She's never heard that name around here before. It couldn't have been a coincidence, could it?

She slowly walked over to the door and tried to peek inside without being seen. All of the mirrors would make that difficult, but she just wanted to see what this person looked like. She wanted to see if they matched the description Hange gave of the Levi she had mentioned.

Looking into the small room with mirrors, there the man was. He was pretty small for a guy, for sure. He was wearing a black hoodie and grey joggers, and his hands and feet were taped. Violently pounding on the punching bag would have been an understatement. [Y/N] watched as the guy absolutely violated the bag over and over with punches and kicks, leaving large dents in the aftermath. How strong was this little guy anyway? He seemed extremely upset about something, clearly using the punching bag as a release of anger.

For a moment, she was actually mesmerized by the sight. The hood on his head, his raven colored hair falling over his eyes as he moved with swiftness between his punches and kicks. She could tell by the way he moved and the precision of the strikes that he wasn't an amateur. He knew how to fight, no question. This had to have been the Levi she was speaking of. He fit the description perfectly, and just as Hange had said, he truly did seem pretty.

She gulped at that thought. Finding another man attractive besides Zeke had not been something she's ever done. What the hell is wrong with her? If she wasn't in public, she would be verbally scolding herself for that. It just didn't seem right. That wasn't like her at all. But.. it was just a pretty harmless thought. She can say another human being is good-looking and not beat herself up for it, right?

As she turned away from the door, she started walking to the cafe and looked down for a moment to grab her phone out of her bag. Suddenly, she slammed right into somebody much larger than her and fell to the ground, dropping her belongings.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry.. how embarrassing.." She looked up and couldn't believe her eyes for a moment.

"[Y/N]? Shit, my bad. I'm sorry, darling. Are you alright?"

"Zeke?" She grabbed his hands, that he had reached out for her, and he pulled her easily on her feet. "What the hell are you doing here so early? Why haven't you texted me back?"

"You act like I don't go to the gym almost every morning.." Zeke said as he pulled [Y/N] in for a hug.

"You do, but usually not this early. Is everything okay? I didn't speak to you at all yesterday."

Zeke paused as his eyes started to wander around the gym. He seemed to be thinking and searching for the right thing to say. His hesitation didn't go unnoticed by [Y/N].

"Relax, Angelface. I was with the boys last night after practice. We met up at Reiner's dorm, played some video games, smoked, and had some drinks.. the usual. Nothing to worry that pretty face of yours about."

[Y/N] relaxed a bit from his words. She knew Zeke spent a lot of time with Reiner and the rest of his friends. They were always together a lot because of practice as well. Maybe she had just been overthinking. She was good for that, after all.

"I miss you. It's been a couple of days since we've hung out.."

"Shit. I've been neglecting you, huh my love? I've been fucking up. I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you." Zeke pulled [Y/N] in close, bent over a bit, and gave her a kiss on the top of her head. "I will text you after I leave the gym. We can make some plans for tonight. How does that sound?"

"Great." She smiled softly.

"Cool." He gave her a smirk in return. "Let me get back to this session. You know how leg days are." Zeke chuckled and rubbed her arm. "Talk to you in a few beautiful. Be ready to give me an idea of what you want to do tonight. Whatever you want, my love, it's all on me."

[Y/N] felt those corny butterflies start to form in her stomach. Zeke had a way with words. He always knew exactly what to say. Any doubts she had earlier seemed to disappear, and she felt a weight lifted off her shoulders. She was excited to spend some time with him. Maybe she can speak to him about how distant she's been feeling with him lately, too.

She finally made her way to the cafe, ordered her smoothie, and left the gym. Little did she know, a little raven haired man had accidentally overheard their conversation.

Levi had recognized Zeke's voice as he was leaving the session with his trainer. He hid behind the wall until they both went their separate ways. Once they left, Levi stepped out from the shadows and took a quick look at the young lady walking towards the cafe area. It didn't take Levi long to put two and two together. Clearly, those two were dating, and that young lady was not the same one that Zeke was spending time with the night before at the bar. Levi hated liars.. with a passion. And what did he hate more than a liar? A cheating ass son of a bitch with a filthy blonde beard, ridiculous looking glasses, and a huge fucking ego.
