"Levi, wait up!" [Y/N] yelled as she made her way quickly down the sidewalk. Levi was pretty far ahead of her already. For a short man, those  legs of his sure moved.

Levi turned at the sound of her voice, and he slowed his pace for a moment, giving [Y/N] a chance to catch up.

"What are you doing? Go back and stay with Hange.. she's drunk."

"She's fine. Isabel promised she would keep an eye on her. When I left, Hange was offering her some sort of candy or something. I think they will hit it off, Hange makes friends with everyone." [Y/N] said as she tried to make eye contact with Levi, but he was dead set on his destination.

"Tch. Candy? She owns a white van, too?" Levi scoffed. "I don't want to see my childhood friend reported missing on the news tomorrow."

"Oh, stop.." [Y/N] giggled. "You and your dry ass humor.."

Levi passed her a deathly side glance and suddenly stopped his stride. The hospital was already in view. The huge building with its layers of windows was towering above, on the skyline ahead of them.

"Go back to the bar. I'll meet you back there when I'm done. We'll walk Hange back to her dorm, and then we can walk back to my apartment together. I don't want you guys roaming this part of town alone at night by yourselves."

"No, I'm coming with you." [Y/N] stated sternly, as if leaving no room for her mind to be changed.

As much as Levi wanted to fight her and demand her to turn her ass around, he was in no mood to argue. He knew her well enough now to know she wasn't going to back down. Part of him appreciated the fact that she wanted to be there for him, but the other part of him wanted to face this on his own. He didn't know what he would find when he entered that hospital. He had no clue what condition Kenny would be in, and that scared the shit out of him. There weren't many things that scared Levi, but the possibility of losing the people he cared about was one of them.

Levi's steps slowed drastically the closer he got to the hospital, and [Y/N], of course, noticed the change in his demeanor. She didn't say another word to him for the next couple of blocks, figuring he was more than likely fighting his own intrusive and deep thoughts. Levi didn't speak much of his uncle around her, so she didn't know much, but she could tell he was important to Levi just by his body language. She was a nurse, so she's seen how friends or family members of patients react to these kinds of situations. Levi may have thought he seemed calm, cool, and collected on the outside.. but [Y/N] knew otherwise.

Once inside the hospital, they made their way to the receptionist, and they were directed to a specific waiting area. All of this already seemed a bit odd to [Y/N], but she didn't say anything with the fear of further upsetting Levi. The waiting area they were brought to was dusty and empty. She knew from experience that this particular waiting area wasn't normally a used part of the hospital. She noticed Levi looking at his surroundings as well. He wasn't stupid by any means. He could tell that something seemed off.

Suddenly, a door opened, and a nurse walked out and greeted them both. She insisted only one person was allowed to see Kenny, so of course, Levi followed the nurse inside, leaving [Y/N] sitting by herself in the empty old waiting room.

A small amount of time passed, and [Y/N] just couldn't shake this strange feeling she'd have since arriving. She paced back and forth for a while and searched around the dusty unused room. There was nothing in sight, absolutely nothing but dust coating the surfaces. It's clear this room hadn't been used in a long time.

She sighed and pulled her phone out of her pocket to look at the time.. it had been about 15 minutes or so. She didn't care what the nurse told them before, and she sneaked her way through the door Levi went through and started to make her way down a long hallway on the other side.
