KOTLC 100 Years Later...

Part 1: Mysterious Past

Sophie's POV:

Sophie and her husband Keefe were sitting at the breakfast table in their beautiful mansion Rainbow Hills and Sophie started thinking.

I still can't believe it...
we defeated the Neverseen and lived to tell the tale,
I married the love of my life Keefe,
and I have a daughter... Ellery.
She has messy blond hair like Keefe and blue eyes with golden flecks like me.
It was quite the shock to no longer be the only elf with brown eyes.
Today is Ellery's first day at Foxfire... I hope she makes friends.

Her trail of thoughts ended when Ellery came downstairs from her bedroom in her level one Foxfire uniform.

"Hi Mom! Hi Dad!" Ellery yelled. "What's for breakfast?!"

Keefe looked at her daughter and told her "Starkflower Stew and human lemonade."

Ellery nodded her head and sat down.

"Why do we drink human drinks mom?" she asked.

What do I say?
I can't tell her the truth...
That drinking human drinks or eating human food makes me feel closer to my human family.
I'll just lie!

"Well... ummmmmm... I..... Keefe..?"

Sophie transmitted "Help me please!" to Keefe and he seemed to understand what she meant.

Keefe obviously didn't understand what she meant when he told Ellery

"It's because... she used to live with humans in humanland!!!" he exclaimed.

...

Ellery looked shocked, but the she burst with laughter.

"HahahahahhHAhAhHahahhhahha! Yeah sure. Hahahah." Ellery clearly did not think that was true.

"Keefe! That is not what I meant. I wanted you to LIE. I want Ellery to live the normal life that I never got to live and she can't do that if she knows I'm an genetic experiment that lived with humans" Sophie thought she transmitted it to Keefe, but she said it out loud...

Ellery looked at her Mom with wide eyes and said "Ummm... mom? Are you serious right now?"

"I did not mean to say that out loud... I am serious though." Sophie said.

"How is that even possible!?" Ellery screamed.

Sophie giggled in her head about how Ellery does not know a thing about her Mom's mysterious past life. "Well maybe someday I'll explain it to you ,but day is NOT that day. You need to get to Foxfire unless you want to be late for your first day!"

Ellery gave her Mom a smirk and said "Ok then... but we will come back to this conversation later and you better not leave out any details."

I will definitely try and leave out details about joining a rebellion, fighting against the council of the Lost Cities, getting kiddnapped, fighting mutant trolls, going to Exillium, and basically everything else about my crazy past life.

Even though that is what Sophie was thinking she still nodded at Ellery and told her to go up to the leapmaster and go to Foxfire. Sophie and Keefe went up to the leapmaster with Ellery to say goodbye.

"Bye sweetie! Have so much fun and try to make friends!" Sophie told her.

Ellery nodded and said "Bye Mom and Dad! See you soon!"

Then Ellery shouted "Foxfire!" at the leapmaster and she glittered away.

"Are you ok Foster?" Keefe asked.

No.
I miss her already and she's only been gone for ten seconds.

Sophie tired to sound perfectly fine when she told Keefe "I'm great! Our only child is now at Foxfire and I will spend much less time with her, but I'm GREAT... let's go eat mallowmelt and do something."

Keefe looked at her with sad eyes and said "It will be ok Foster. I will bake away your sadness! I will make you so much mallowmelt that you will NEVER be able to finish all of it! Sound good?"

Sophie giggled and instantly accepted his mallowmelt challenge.
