KOTLC 100 Years Later...

Part 4: Bad News

Sophie's POV:

Ellery had left the house hours ago and Sophie was sitting at the dinning table watching Keefe (attempt) to make her LOTS of mallowmelt.

(In case you don't know mallowmelt is one of the elf's favorite desserts and it tastes like fresh chocolate-chip cookies soaked in ice cream)

"I hope Ellery is doing good in class" Sophie whispered to Keefe.

Keefe smirked and said "Oh Foster don't worry so much, if she takes after ME, then I'm sure she'll get all A's!"

"Maybe... either that or she will take after me and suck at alchemy..." Sophie said with a chuckle.

Keefe laughed with her until they heard an imparter (telephone) beep loudly.

Beep! Beep! Beep! beep!

Ugh...
where is that coming from...

"Um Keefe... is that your imparter? Wait that's REALLY loud. I think both of ours are ringing."

Beep! BEEP! Beep! BEEP!

Sophie and Keefe both started looking around the kitchen and dining area until they found their imparters.

Keefe picked his up and gasped. "It's from Magnet Leto! I hope it's not about the school." Keefe said

Sophie picked hers up and saw it was also from Magnate Leto!

Oh no........
he's probably just saying "hello, long time no see!".....
I hope...

Sophie took a breath and started counting down "We answer on three... one... two... THREE!!!"

Then they both clicked their imparters and accepted the call. Magnate Leto's face appeared on their screens and he was covered in smoke! He also had rainbow goop on him...

"WHAT HAPPENED!!!" Sophie yelled at the same time Keefe yelled "Are you ok?!"

Magnate Leto looked at them for a second then he explained what happened. "Well...... try to remain calm.... but there was an explosion at Foxfire and the pyramid collapsed."

Sophie and Keefe gasped.

Sophie was silent and Keefe asked the question they were both thinking "Was anyone hurt?!" He asked nervously.

Magnate Leto looked nervous as well as he told them "We were able to sound the alarm and evacuate the school before it caught fire and collapsed... but during the explosion two prodigy's were badly injured... they will be alright though. I'm sorry but Ellery was one of those two." He whispered the last part just loud enough to hear.

A tear fell from Sophie's eyes and Keefe wrapped her in a hug.

"She will be ok though, right Foster?" He asked.

"Yeah, she will, but I want to see her!!! Where is she? Did the healing center collapse as well?!" Sophie asked and screamed at the same time.

Magnate Leto signed "I should've assumed you'd like to see her. Umm... well, the healing center did collapse and so Ellery and the other injured prodigy are at Elwin's house."

Elwin is the Foxfire physician/doctor and has healed Sophie, Keefe, and their friends lots of times.

"We can go and see her, but she is still unconscious." Magnate Leto told them.

"Ok!" Sophie said as she grabbed Keefe's hand and started running outside.

It's a good thing we built our house by a cliff!

Sophie jumped of the cliff and at the last second she split the sky and teleported them into the void and straight to Elwin's house.

I hope I did a good job writing in Sophie's POV!
In case you didn't know Sophie is the Lost Cities only teleporter and she normally gets her teleportation power from sprinting really fast or jumping of cliffs! -Mermaidpancakes2
