Ellery's POV:"Ugh what happened?" Ellery mumbled as she opened her eyes and noticed she was in her bed. She tried to stand up, but fell into someone's arms.
"Careful honey!" Her dad said, setting her back down on the bed.
"I'm sooooooo dizzy!" Ellery exclaimed.
"Ha! Well that's what happens when you roll down a 200 ft. Hill! Here drink this and your head will clear." Her dad said, handing her a pink elixir.
"Is Elwin here?" Ellery asked after gulping down the terrible tasting drink.
"No! I can handle a few minor injures. Sadly I've had a lot of practice on your mom..."
Interesting...
Very interesting..."Well... what happened to me?" Ellery asked him remembering the crazy falling from the sky and somehow not dying thing.
"You manifested a special ability!" He exclaimed.
"WHAT?!?!? What ability did I get?" She shrieked.
"You are a teleporter! Isn't that awesome!?"
"Wow!!! I'm a teleporter! That's awesome! I can't wait to test it out!"
"And you know what's even better?" He asked her.
"What?" She asked.
"Your mom will mentor you at Foxfire in a teleporting class!"
That will be embarrassing...
Though I think everything is embarrassing...
Especially things that involve me being with my parents in public."Yeah... that's great dad. I can't wait..."
"OMG WE ARE BOTH TELEPORTERS!!!" Her mom shouted running into the room with a big smile on her face.
She looks really happy!
I guess I can pretend to be happy to have her as a Foxfire mentor.
I mean...
at least she won't fail her own daughter!
Right?"It's awesome mom! So like... how do I teleport? Please tell me it doesn't involve falling from the sky on a daily basis..."
I meant it as a joke...
because there's no way a special ability involved falling from the sky to make it work.
Right?
Wrong."Well..." her mom said sitting down on the bed next to Ellery, "It kind of does." Her mom admitted.
"What do you mean?" Ellery asked.
"You can only teleport by free falling or sprinting. But free falling is easier because it uses less energy." Her mom explained.
Interesting...
I want to go practice teleporting!!!!!!!
I wonder if that's why our house is on a HUGE hill...
So mom can teleport off of it?"Can I PLEASE go practice teleporting?!" Ellery asked loudly.
"Practice what now?!" Ryla asked/yelled walking into the room with a confused look. "Teleporting? I've studied elven abilities for like... years and I've never heard of teleporting."
