Part 3: Foxfire Goes Boom

Ellery's POV:

Elvin History felt like it took forever because all she did was sit through a lecture about some group named the neversong or something like that. All the group did was evil stuff like kidnap people. They were defeated like almost one-hundred years ago though. Ellery was walking through the lunch line when she saw Zex and Lyra sitting at a table in the the middle of the cafeteria TOGETHER.

How do they know each other?

Ellery finished going through the lunch line and she walked to the table they were sitting at. Zex and Lyra were sitting next to each other and Ellery sat next to Zex.

Lyra looked at her with confused eyes and a smirk as she asked Zex "What is she doing sitting by us? Who does she think she is?"

Ellery was a bit curious about why Lyra seems so close with Zex. "Ummm... I'm the one who invited Zex to sit here with ME. What are YOU doing here Lyra?" Ellery asked her.

Zex looked at both of them and said "Oh sorry Ellery, I thought it would be alright if she sat with us. Lyra is my cousin. My Mom and her dad's are siblings. You guys should really try to get along so we can all be friends!"

There was awkward silence for about ten seconds and then Lyra broke it.

"My dear cousin Zex. I have zero problems with Ellery, except for the fact that she pushed me over earlier..."

Zex's jaw dropped a little. "Is that true Ellery?"

How could he think that about me?!

"No! I did not push her! I bumped into her on ACCIDENT." Ellery said.

A few prodigy's turned their heads toward them. They were sitting in the middle of the cafeteria after all...

Zex looked like didn't quite know what to say... a few minutes passed and then the bell ringed.

In my story theres a bell! If it rings it means the next class starts in five minutes and that you should really head over to class unless you want to be late!!!

"I should really head to my next class" Ellery, Zex and Lyra all said it at the EXACT same time.

All three of their jaws dropped and they all had wide eyes.

Wow... ok then.

Ellery was the first to break the silence. "Hee hee yeah, I think I gonna head to class. Byeeee!" Then she grabbed her satchel (bag) and ran off to class as she read her schedule.

Alchemy...
she read it and then wondered what that even is.
I think it's like potions...
I mean Elixirs!!!
Ugh I sound like my Mom thinking human stuff like "potions".
I guess if my Mom grew up with humans then that finally explains why she said human stuff sometimes.

She was walking and then she saw a door that said Alchemy above it.

Omg it's the alchemy classroom!
I hope my mentor is nice.

She took a DEEP breath and knocked on the door.

*Knock knock knock*
