Part 2: Making Friends?

Ellery's POV:

The second Ellery arrived at Foxfire she took off running. Then she bumped into a boy.

The boy looked at her. He had brown hair, periwinkle blue eyes, and dimples . He was wearing a level one uniform which meant he was in her level...

OMG he is in my level.

"Sorry I didn't see you there." Ellery said.

"Thats ok. My name is Zex. Whats your name?"

"My name is Ellery Foster, it's nice to meet you. Lets go to orientation so we're not late."

"Sounds good to me!" Zex replied.

Then they started walking to the big and sparkly five story glass pyramid that is Foxfire. Ellery and Zex walked into the first floor of the pyramid and they're were prodigies [students] everywhere!

"Hello prodigies!" a man said as he appeared on the wall in front of them "I am your principle, Magnate Leto and welcome to another fantastic year of learning. Last semester we had a bit of a pranking outbreak... there were so many pranks that the prodigies behind them got sent to Exillium, the school for the unworthy. I hope this year will be better. Good luck to all students!"

After Magnate Leto's speech his image flashed away and everyone started to go and grab their locker assignments from a mentor [teacher] in the middle of the room.

Pranking outbreak?
I like the sound of that...
maybe with just the right team...
we wouldn't get caught...

She said quietly to Zex "Meet me at the table in the middle of the cafeteria if you trust me and if... you like pranks." she smirked on the last word.

He looked a bit shocked that she was into pranks, especially since if you get caught you could end up kicked out of Foxfire. Apparently what Ellery was thinking he was thinking was completely wrong and he said

"Count me in Agent Ellery." with a smirk as well.

"Should make code names?" Zex asked.

Ellery instantly said "YES!" bit too loudly and a few people turned their heads. "Oops" she laughed.

Zex reminded her about class and how they do not want to be late on the first day. Then they got in line to collect their locker assignments. It took them about two minutes to get to the front of the line and then they each got a paper with their name on it that had a random locker number.

101, Ellery read.
Ok then locker 101 where on earth will I find you...

"I'm locker 101, what about you Zex?"

"I'm locker 103! We are right next to each other!"

"Lets go find them fast so we can be early to our first lesson." Ellery said as she started walking down a random hallway in the level one wing crossing her fingers that it would magically lead them straight to their lockers.

The hallways were onyx which matched the color of the level one uniform and as they walked they entered an area filled with lockers. In the middle of the room there was the mascot for level one, an Onyx Gremlin. Ellery and Zex started looking around for their lockers and then Ellery bumped into someone again! This time a girl with long black hair, a light skin tone, and beautiful teal eyes. The girl dropped all of her stuff!

"Hey watch where your going! You could have pushed me over!" The girl said as she bent down and started picking up the books she dropped.

"Oh my mallowmelt! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to!" Ellery said as she started helping the girl pick up her stuff. Ellery picked up a book on telepathy.

Wow a telepath!
She manifested early...
level ones are only eleven or twelve years old.
I wish I had my special ability...
if I even get one at all.

"Are you a telepath?" Ellery asked the girl.

The girl looked at her and signed. "You really shouldn't look through other peoples stuff. I am a telepath though, I manifested last week. My Dad told me that I set a record as the second youngest person to manifest a special ability in the Lost Cities. My name is Lyra Vacker by the way."

Impressive...

"I'm Ellery Foster, maybe I'll see you around. Sorry again for bumping into you." Then she heard Zex yell "Found them!"

Then Ellery ran over right away to see Zex standing by locker 101 and 103.

"Nice job Zex!" she said as she opened her locker by licking the DNA strip that tasted like custard bursts. Inside was her class schedule. She took a breath and read it crossing her fingers the classes were somewhat easy. Today she has Elvin History, lunch, Alchemy, then study hall.

"My first class is Elvin History. I'm going to go and find it, bye Zex! Good luck!"

"Bye Ellery!" he replied.

Then Ellery left Zex to go and start her first class of the day.
