Ellery's POV:
Ellery was lying in bed curious about Ryla's secret.
What is she hiding?
The door opened and Elwin walked in staring at Ryla, and he asked if her if she could come with him.
Weird.
"Don't I have to stay in bed and rest?" Ryla asked him.
"No. Your rib and wrist are hurt, not your legs. You can walk." Elwin said.
"I'm uh... tired though." Then Ryla started yawning and pretended to fall asleep.
Why does he want Ryla to follow him?
That's a bit sus...
"Nice try Ryla. I know you're awake." He said.
"No I'm not." Ryla replied nervously.
"Umm, you can't talk if you're sleeping." Elwin pointed out.
"Oops! Fine I'll follow you, since I don't think I have a choice." Ryla said as she and Elwin walked out of the room.
I want to know where they're going!
Ellery despite being told to stay in bed and rest, got up and quietly followed Elwin and Ryla down the hallway. Then went inside a dark room and shut the door.
Ugh...
stupid doors.
Ruining eavesdropping elves for centuries!
Ellery put her ear against the door and tried to listen to their conversation. The door was annoyingly thick though, so it was hard to hear what they were saying.
"....Make you... comfortable..." was all Ellery could piece out.
Maybe Elwin said that?
Ellery heard a clicking noise and then she heard Ryla gasp and scream "What'a your problem?! Let me go!!!"
Ahh!!
What is happening in there?!
"Don't ..... I ...... let you go ...........need you to answer some questions........." Ellery heard Elwin say.
Ugh!
Talk louder so I can eavesdrop!
"Can you at least get on with it?! I would like to get away from you...... you psychopath!" Ryla yelled.
Omg!
Is Elwin a psychopath?!
I should get out of here before I'm caught!
Then Ellery quickly and quietly tiptoed down the hall back into her bed.
I wish I knew what was going in that room!
Eh!
I'm probably not missing anything important!
Like a huge secret or something!
Then Ellery picked up a small knot of bandages and practiced levitating it with telekinesis.
I really need to practice this skill more...
Ellery thought as she dropped the bandage on her face.
It will be useful for Foxfire!
