Part 17: Ellery Almost Dies

Ellery's POV:

Ellery jumped out of her chair when the transmitting got louder.

"Ellery! FRIEND! Luna! FRIEND!"

"Are you ok miss?" Lady Tinap asked when Ellery rubbed her temples.

"I'm ok. Someone is transmitting to me. Loudly."

"Whoever is doing that has got to stop!" Lady Tinap announced.

Everyone in the classroom started blaming someone. Most of them though Ellery was lying about the transmitting...

"ELLERY! FRIEND! FLY! TRUST!"

Definitely not making that up...

"Silent! Everyone! Who here is a telepath?" Lady Tinap asked.

"No."

"I wish..."

"Nope!"

"I am ma'am." Lyra Vacker mumbled raising her hand. "But I'm not the one transmitting! I promise."

"Detention at once!" Lady Tinap called. "If you are the only telepath then it has to be you. Please head to the principal's office."

"Fine." Lyra mumbled as she left the room.

"Did the transmitting stop Ellery?" Lady Tinap asked.

"No... someone is transmitting 'Ellery! Friend! Fly!'"

Lady Tinap gasped. "Why don't you go home and ask your mom about it... she is a telepath so maybe she'll know."

Ellery signed and grabbed her bag.

Am I going crazy?
I'm pretty sure someone is transmitting...

"Ellery! FLY! LUNA! Ellery!"

Definitely not going crazy...
I wonder who's doing this.
Who is Luna?
And why does she want to fly?!

"Rainbow Hill!" Ellery shouted at the leap master. The crystals clicked into place and Ellery shimmered away.

"Hi Ellery!" Her mom shouted happily as she glittered into view. "What's wrong Ellie?" She asked, noticing Ellery's concerned expression.

"Ughh... someone is transmitting to me."

"Oh no! It worked!"

"Uhhh... what are you talking about mom? What worked?"

"Well.... I was talking to one of the Lost Cities alicorns and I was telling her about you... and I think she wanted to meet you so she started transmitting."

"Is her name Luna?"

"Yes!" Her mom exclaimed. "Luna is an alicorn."

Wow!
That's awesome.
Alicorns are like unicorns but they also have wings!
And they are sparkly!!!

"Can I meet Luna?" Ellery asked.

"Sure! Let me transmit to her." Her mom said. A few minutes passed and nothing seemed to happen.

"Is anything gonna happen or...?" Ellery started to wonder if anything was going to happen when a thunder bolt split the sky and an alicorn teleported and flew over to her mom.

"Hello Luna! I missed you so much!" Her mom chuckled as Luna started neighing and nuzzling her. Ellery blew out a breath of relief when the transmitting stopped.

"Ellery? Fly? Fly! Trust!" Luna transmitted.

Umm...
I would LOVE to fly with her!

Luna seemed to be reading her mind because she trotted over to Ellery and bowed her head.

"Trust! Fly! Ellery! Trust!"

Call me crazy but I trust this sparkly alicorn!

Ellery swung her leg over Luna and her mom gasped.

"Be careful Ellery! If she teleports then don't freak out!"

"Wait teleport? I don't understand." Ellery wanted to ask her mom more questions but Luna flew away!

"Ahhhhhh!!!! Slow down!!!" Ellery screamed.

"Trust! Safe! Fly!"

Ellery barely had time to give Luna's mane a death grip before she started flying up faster.

Don't look down!
Don't look down!
Don't look down...

Ellery looked down and she could barely see her house anymore. It looked like a tiny dot.

We are really high up!
I'm starting to get a little worried...
What if we fall?

"Trust!" Luna transmitted as she stopped going up. Her and Ellery were hovering in the sky... miles, and miles, and miles above ground. Then suddenly Luna started to shake Ellery off!

"AHHHH!!! ARE YOU INSANE!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!!????" Ellery shouted.

"Trust!" Luna barely had time to transmit it before Ellery fell off...

"AHHHHHH!!!!!!! I'M GONNA DIE!" Ellery shouted and freaked out when she saw how fast the ground was coming. "THIS IS CRAZY!!! Help me!"

Then suddenly something clicked. She started to hold onto the adrenaline building up in her mind and right when she would've splat onto the ground and die thunder split the sky and Ellery tumbled into the void.

"OMG! WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!" Ellery shouted as she floated around in what seemed to be infinite never ending darkness. Ellery thought about home and she teleported away! Thunder boomed and Ellery tumbled across the grass in a sweaty heap.

"Ellery are you ok?!?" She heard her mom ask.

Obviously their house HAD to be on a hill...

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!" Ellery screamed as she hotdog-rolled down the WHOLE hill. After about five minutes of rolling Ellery made it to the bottom and she hit her head on a rock and the world went dark...
