Autumn comes
Time passes
Days end
Is it the tree that let go
Or is it the leaves that move on
Years end
People pass
Memories come
Is it life that moves on
Or is it us that let go
Not for a lifetime of happiness
Nor an eternity of peace
But a moment of Understanding
of why things grow apart
Thoughts come
Feelings pass
Love ends
and yet we are still here
able to welcome the coming Fall
And even though things are fated to grow apart
We still have the choice of letting go or holding on
