You are the Book I never read

When I was a kid It was no secret that I hated books, reading, and most of all people who told me how great books are.
And when I say hate...I really do mean hate
I would have fantasies about burning every book in this world so people would stop telling me to read
I hated it so much...every aspect of it; the reading, the writing...the people
I hated it so much that I would say I'd rather go blind than read a book

But...now...

I find myself craving for a good book to read
I find myself wishing to be in a huge library with all the time in the world
I find myself conflicted with which I should get: a book or a video game

I've always hated books but now I find myself loving this very thing I hate
Now, I won't tell you how great a book is or how magical it is to read a good novel
I hate it when people do that
But..
This I will say
The hate I had for books is still fresh in my mouth
But the one definition of love that I have is this
I will never say books are great
But believe me when I say:
I love to read books
