The only sad thing about life is that happiness doesn't last forever,
and no matter how hard we try,
it always slips away
That why we're sad
Its not about what happened to us
But rather
Its what we failed to prevent from happening

Our happiness will always have to end
Thats just how it is
You can try and prevent that from happening
But you'll just end up failing

And yes I know
This seems grim
But here's another way
To look at it

I believe that happiness is just like the seasons
It may not last forever
But you can always expect it to happen again

And I won't lie
there are times where it seems like it won't happen again
But like the child whose been
waiting all year for summer
You'll just wake up one day
and there it is

Sure, it is sad that happiness doesn't last forever
But the same could be said about sadness

That's great thing about life:
Its not about what we failed
But its about whats going to happen next
That's why we're happy
Sadness always fades away
No matter how hard it hits us
Sadness doesn't last forever
And thats a good enough reason to be happy
Not just with life
but with everything
