Bad Habits

I have many Bad habits

I drink because
there is an emptiness
in me that I want to fill

I smoke because there is
a part of me
that I wish to kill

And I don't take care of myself
because there is a side
of me that I hate

And if the price I have to pay
is a few years of my life
I would gladly give it all away

For I have Lived long enough
to know that
the few minutes I get
to spend with you
Those moments are the only time
I'm truly alive

There is nothing in me
that is worth saving
because everything
that is good in me
belongs to you
and forever yours

That the best part of me
is not living
The best part of my life
is loving you

I have many bad habits
But loving you is the worst
But also the best

You are the worst thing
to happen in my life
But you are the very best thing
to ever happen to me

I might lose you
But I'll never stop loving you

I guess old habits die hard
