Ako lang ba? I used to stop myself from buying new books because I felt bad for the books on my shelf na di ko pa nababasa. 🥹 Kayo rin ba?

I'm not really that much of an "avid reader." But I see books as a collection of wisdom - I pick one from my shelf depending on what I need to read at the moment.

👉🏻 I have fiction and poetry on my shelf - for the times that I just wanna unwind.

👉🏻 I also have a lot of self-help and business books - when I need to grow.

I used to feel pressured sa iba kong kakilala who read many books in a month. Pero, I realized na iba-iba tayo, and that's okay!

So maybe it's time to adopt a shift in perspective, yes?

🤔 What if you can think of your pile of books as not just a 'to be read' list but more like a personal library waiting for the perfect moment?

As Luc van Donkersgoed puts it:
💡 "Think not of the books you’ve bought as a ‘to be read’ pile. Instead, think of your bookcase as a wine cellar. You collect books to be read at the right time, the right place, and the right mood."

📌 TIPS IN GROWING YOUR BOOK COLLECTION

And as you build your personal 'wine cellar' of books, here are some tips to make it even more fulfilling:

1 - Curate with Purpose: Just like wine lovers select bottles for special occasions, choose books that speak to various aspects of your life. Each book in your collection holds potential for the right moment.

2 - Organize Creatively: Arrange your books in a way that inspires you – by color, theme, or how they make you feel. Let your bookshelf be a reflection of your journey.

3 - Create a Reading Nook: Dedicate a cozy corner as your personal escape to the worlds within your books. A comfortable chair, good lighting, and a nearby shelf can make all the difference.

4 - Share the Love: Talk about your books with friends or in online communities. Sharing insights and recommendations can deepen your appreciation and connection with others.

5 - Embrace All Moods: Whether you're in the mood for a light read or a deep dive into complex subjects, having a diverse collection means there's always something perfect for the moment.
