Random Thoughts:

WHAT A FLATTERING MOMENT! It feels surreal when your status changes, and people now recognize you as a writer. Just a moment ago, I visited an ice cream shop and sat at a table while waiting for someone. Suddenly, I encountered my old colleague from SSG along with his friend. His friend looked at me, attempting to find the right words as he scanned my face. Then he pointed out, "Francis? Writer? Author?" I responded with a bright smile and a nod and said without hesitation, "Yes!". Back then, people were calling me, "Pres", but now there were big changes had been made and something to look forward for in 2024. My heart melted with gratitude, knowing that strangers and people are beginning to recognize me as an author or writer. We introduced ourselves, and he revealed that he is a literature student from the College of Arts and Sciences, his name was Kher. He congratulated me for my book and left together with Luke, my colleague and friend. I found myself alone at the table in the ice cream shop across CTU-Main, MJ Cuenco Street, filled with happiness and a grateful heart. In addition, last December, on a whim, I decided to host a giveaway for my book. Today, I proudly announced the winner, a fellow technologist who participated in the giveaway. She won with the best narrative about her memorable Christmas tradition. As we spoke, she mentioned that she followed me because she wanted to stay updated about my books. My heart softened as I read her message. I couldn't stop thanking her for her thoughtfulness and support, and by the way, her name was Joanna. In the past, I only dreamed of becoming someone who could write stories, publish a book, and be recognized by fellow writers, readers, friends, or even random people. Thank you for everything and for turning my dream into a reality.
