Chapter 6: "Disgusted Hearts, Forgotten Homes"
[Time Skip]
In the dimly lit room, the only sounds that echoed were guttural screams and choked sobs. The man tied to the chair—his face disfigured by fear and pain—cried out, pleading for mercy. But the one standing before him, drenched in the crimson evidence of his own wrath, remained indifferent—eyes cold, lips curled in disgust.
"You know what, Mr. Kim..." Jungkook's's voice dripped venom, each word more lethal than the last. "Every time I see your face, I feel nothing but loathing. So do me a favor and never show your face to me again. Just... fuck you, Professor Kim."
Punch. Punch.
"You are filth."
Punch. Punch.
"A man like you doesn't deserve peace... doesn't deserve to breathe."
Punch. Punch.
That word—disgusting—it rang like a cursed bell in Taehyung’s ears. Again. And again.
Disgust.
It was a word he'd been branded with by too many—by enemies, by strangers, even by those he once loved. He had always responded with anger, with fire. But never with hurt.
Until now.
Until Jungkook said it.
He didn’t understand why those words, from that person, burned more than fire ever could. Why it pierced deeper than any blade. Why it felt like betrayal. He wanted—needed—to shove a gun to Jungkook's skull and keep pulling the trigger until the world went silent.
He was furious. He was shattered. But more than anything—he was confused.
Why him?
Why Jungkook?
Why did his voice haunt him?
Why did his insult bruise more than the wounds he inflicted?
Why?
Why the fuck doesn’t he know why?
After what felt like hours of merciless torment, Taehyung finally dropped his fists. Max, bloodied and broken, remained alive—for now.
Taehyung didn’t kill him.
Not yet.
He walked out of the blood-scented room and found everyone frozen like ghosts in a graveyard.
"What? Why are you all standing there like statues?" he asked, wiping the blood off his fingers, though none of it was his own.
Everyone shivered.
His black shirt was soaked in red. His knuckles, swollen. His face, unreadable.
"Um—n-nothing, we just heard... noises," one mumbled. "But we're fine. Right, guys?"
All of them nodded in robotic unison.
V gave them a suspicious glance but didn’t press.
"So... Kai still isn’t here, right?"
"Yeah," Jackson replied quickly. "He called. Said he needs more time. He’ll come straight to the college tomorrow."
Taehyung nodded and walked away, slipping into his car and speeding off toward his apartment.
He needed a shower. A long, scalding one.

[Scene Shift – College]
"Hey, Jungkook. You’ve been staring at the door for hours," J-Hope finally said, glancing at his younger friend.
