The quiet morning
The next day came quietly—but the world didn’t slow down for anyone.
Morning sunlight spilled over Seoul,
turning the streets bright and alive.
Seoul College buzzed with its usual chaos—footsteps echoing, lockers slamming shut, laughter and whispers blending into one constant hum.
Students walked hand in hand, some balancing coffee cups, others rushing half-awake toward their classes. Groups formed and broke apart in the hallways, conversations overlapping before the bell finally rang.
The sound sent everyone scrambling.
Inside the classroom, chairs scraped against the floor as students hurried to their seats. The teacher hadn’t arrived yet, and the room was filled with noise—random chatter, teasing, and last-minute gossip.
Jimin leaned closer to Jungkook, lowering his voice.
“Do you think Yoongi will even accept?”
Jungkook stared ahead for a second, jaw tight. Then he sighed and turned fully toward Jimin.
“Listen, shorty,” Jungkook muttered, serious. “If you act like a coward and don’t propose, I swear Yoongi will end up marrying his nap before he marry you.”
Jimin rolled his eyes hard. “That’s not how it works.”
He smacked Jungkook lightly on the head.
“Ouch,” Jungkook hissed, rubbing the spot as he glared at him. “Violence is not the answer.”
“Neither is overthinking,” Jimin shot back. “You’ve been pacing for hours like you’re about to go to war.”
Jungkook leaned back in his chair. “Because it feels like one.”
Jimin studied him for a moment, then softened. “You okay though? You look… different.”
Jungkook’s eyes flickered briefly toward the classroom door.
“I’m fine,” he said. “Just… a lot on my mind.”
Before Jimin could ask more, the classroom door opened.
The room quieted instantly.
Professor Kim stepped inside.
Taehyung.
He looked composed as always-expression calm, posture straight-but Jungkook noticed the small things. The way his movements were careful. The way one shoulder stayed slightly stiff.
Their eyes met.
Just for a second.
Not long enough for anyone else to notice—but long enough for something unspoken to pass between them.
Taehyung looked away first and moved toward the board.
Jungkook exhaled slowly, fingers curling against his desk.
Jimin leaned closer again, whispering, “Okay. Definitely a drama.”
Jungkook didn’t answer.
Lunch Time | College Cafeteria
The cafeteria buzzed with noise.
Plates clattered, chairs scraped, voices overlapped in careless laughter. Groups filled every table, food half-eaten, conversations loud and unfiltered.
Minseok sat with his usual group near the center.
Loud and careless.
“I swear, Professor Kim thinks he’s untouchable,” Minseok snorted, leaning back in his chair. “Cold face, pretty eyes—such a waste hiding behind that teacher act.”
