Chapter 12: "The Storm Within"
To him, rain wasn’t peace.
It wasn’t poetry.
It wasn’t soft or kind or sweet like they said.
To him, rain was blood.
A cruel reminder.
A merciless echo of loss.
It was the ghost of a night long gone—the night everything changed.
The night love died.
The night innocence was carved from his soul and fed to the darkness.
“Whyyy!”
The cry ripped through the storm like a wounded animal, sharp and raw and full of ache.
Two silhouettes stood in the downpour, drenched in grief and silence and memories that cut deeper than knives.
"I didn't have a choice..."
His voice was low, cracking like old glass. It trembled with guilt—tired, trembling guilt.
"You had a choice,” came the reply, hoarse and hollow. “You just didn’t choose me.”
Taehyung’s voice wasn’t raised.
It was quiet.
Deadly quiet.
But each word was a blade.
Each syllable a scar.
His gaze—once filled with stars—was now filled with fire. A fire of betrayal.
“I loved you, Tae,” the other man whispered, stepping forward as if distance could mend what had been shattered.
But Taehyung recoiled.
He flinched like he’d been burned.
“You killed my parents,” he breathed.
The words fell heavy, like iron.
And the weight of them?
It crushed the man where he stood.
“I was forced…”
The voice was breaking, barely audible over the storm.
Taehyung let out a hollow laugh—cold, bitter, aching.
It wasn’t laughter.
It was grief in disguise.
Then—he screamed.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
It erupted from the deepest part of him. A scream not just of pain, but of devastation.
He fell to his knees.
The rain didn’t care. It didn’t stop.
It soaked him like the world was trying to drown him too.
“I trusted you…” he choked, his hands digging into the earth. “I would’ve given you everything.”
The man rushed forward.
He wrapped his arms around him, holding him like he was glass.
Taehyung didn’t fight.
He wept in his arms.
He shook in his arms.
And then—
A gasp.
One sharp breath.
The blade—buried deep into his lover’s stomach.
Eyes widened.
Time stopped.
“Taehyung…”
