Helena's POV:
March 11th, 2093, 10:00:
Alliance base of Carway:Sitting in my office, I was sending off my report for this week. I'd normally have Diana help me, but I've given her leave so her and Hank can help start up their family with the two little runts, Mac and Sophie. I wonder how exactly Mac would be able to readjust to civilian life, he's only ever known war, such a poor life to live.
Besides that, I'm still thinking about Zero's report on his transportation to another world because of the portal both he and the Huntress apparently made. So, they went to another world, one that apparently had both humans and Anthro's as slaves to these, 'Elves,' as Zero called them. What doesn't make sense to me is the fact that Zero and Huntress worked together, didn't she almost kill him some time ago?
Zero is beyond unreadable in this situation, helping someone that nearly killed him. Then again, that's somewhat how the Alpha Team first met him, and he still went on and convinced us to fight for peace instead of war. Let's see, today, I sent pretty much all but Chloe on solo-objective missions today, helping the Alliance in any way they can. Perhaps I should look for something for her to do, she isn't one to sit idle.
After finishing my report, I sent it over to my superiors before checking over a list of requests. So far, it was just minor supply runs, but I don't see anything that would require a Spartan's help. Just as I scroll further down, my landlines started ringing, surprising me. Normally, video-call is how others tend to contact me at this hour, however, the landline was used only for secure purposes.
Looking around at my empty office, minus the furniture and multiple packets filled with reports on shelves, I started to wonder what this was. Then, with no other option, I pick it up and place it on my ear before asking,
Helena: "This is Colonel Katrine; may I ask who's behind this line?"
Rex (landline): "General Rex, it's good to hear from you, how have you been?"
Oh, it's Rex, for a second there, I thought it would've some serious person I've never heard of before. Relaxing my demeanor, I ask,
Helena: "It's been busy, but good overall, what about you?"
Rex (landline): "I sometimes wonder why I was picked for this position, but enough about me, there's a truth I need to reveal...two actually."
Truths, what truths? This doesn't seem like him, but if it is, I need to spend more time around him. Turning around and looking out the window, which overlooked the entire base, I asked,
Helena: "What are those truths?"
Rex (landline) (sighs): "Well, for starters, I've been getting reports about Zero's past in question, is it true that he revealed he's not from this world?"
Helena (confused): "Yes?"
Rex (landline): "I ask that you don't blame him for anything, it was all my fault, I'm the one who made up his past here."
Helena (surprised): "He never said anything about you when he told us."
Rex (landline): "Such a stubborn man he is, probably trying to protect my image. Well, just know he isn't to blame for the lies, it was me, alright?"
So, Rex is saying he made up Zero's past about Greenville Bunker, that's alarming. Normally, something like this would be called into question, but with the three-sided war going on, it'll probably be put on hold if he said something to anyone else. That's one truth, but what's the other he mentioned? Grabbing my morning brew, I ask before taking a sip,
Helena: "Ok, Zero had already worked it out with the rest of us, so you don't need to worry. What's this other truth you need to reveal?"
Rex (landline): "I have good news and bad news, both involving your parents."
