Third person POV:
March 19th, 2093, 00:01:
Vanguard Base:Around the perimeter of Vanguard Base was multiple sentry units stationed all around the Base. The silence that surrounded them was momentarily interrupted by the intermission of wind pickups every now and then. Most of the Anthro sentry guards were bored, while most of the humans were ever alert. Within the base, there were very few patrols, as a decent majority of the base was either sleeping or relaxing.
Inside the base, in the lobby area, a female goat receptionist was typing on the computer in front of her. As she heard the door open, she turned her head, only to widen her eyes in surprise. A giant, black armored man walked over to her, his sword sheathed on his back.
Along with a Shadow Legion symbol on his shoulder.
The Darkness looked down at the goat, seeing the fear that was plastered on her eyes. He has decided, for once, to go through the front door seen, just to be nice. Leaning down, he asked,
Darkness: "Could you inform the Colonel that the Darkness is here for our meeting?"
Goat receptionist (stuttering): "Uh, sh-she could b-b-be asl-ee-ee-eep."
Darkness: "Oh, my apologies, I'll just go to her office then, have a good rest of your morning Ms."
After saying that, he turned left and began walking down the hall, the goat leaning over her desk and watching in fear. However, as he turned the corner, a few seconds later, two Anthro soldiers, one male lion and one male black wolf, came walking from that same hallway. Both continued talking normally, as though they didn't see anything suspicious.
However, as they reached the main lobby, they noticed the goat receptionist staring down the hall they came from in terror. Approaching her, the lion asked,
Male lion Alliance soldier: "Excuse me, is everything alright?"
Female goat receptionist (looks between the lion, wolf, and hallway): "Di-Did you not see him?!"
Male black wolf Alliance soldier (confused): "Him?"
The look of terror on her face turned into dreadful confusion as she thought of how they couldn't see the Darkness. Three floors up, Helena was soundly sleeping on the couch in her office, having given her quarters to her mother. However, even after several minutes of soundless sleeping, there was no knocks, or brazen openings at her door.
Four floors down, in a sound-enclosed firing range, both Rena and Mariana were in it. Both were deep in a competition to see who could take out the most targets with one magazine. Despite what obvious claims some could make, both had been tied up for the past five hours, both unrelenting to end it without victory. Eventually as both of their guns fired their last bullets, they looked up at the scoreboard, only to find a 20/20.
Groaning in annoyance, Rena placed her LMG to the side before walking over to the fridge that was behind them by the door. Opening it, she took out two water bottles before closing it. Turning around, she tossed one to Mariana, who caught it before asking,
Mariana: "Thanks, woo, what time is it anyway?"
Rena (takes off her helmet): "Hell if I know, (sniff) elh, long enough to sweat this badly."
Mariana also took her helmet off before connecting it to her waist, taking a swig of water afterwards. Rena also did the same, gulping the water violently before removing it, breathing a sigh of relief. With her annoyance gone, she started chuckling before leaning on the range counter. Turning to Mariana, who was staring in amusement, asked,
Rena: "So, ready to give up yet?"
Mariana: "As if, sounds like you're just a sore loser if you're asking that."
