(Prologue)/A New Problem

Third person POV:
March 1st, 2093, 12:00:
A Secret Alliance facility in Northern Washington:

In the middle a Washington night, everything around a secret facility in Washington was quiet. There was a large guard checkpoint just right in front of the underground bunker they were tasked with protecting. Despite the radio static and a few hoots and hollering from other Alliance soldiers, everything seemed peaceful. Two soldiers, an African male human and a female snow leopard, were sitting by the Norther entrance in a booth.

A coffee machine inside said booth dinged, causing the leopard to get up and walk to it. She then poured the coffee into two cups, picking them up and giving one to the man. He looked at it in surprise before taking a sip of it, feeling invigorated from it for the first time. He looked at her before saying,

Male human Alliance soldier #1: "Thank you for this, it tastes wonderful."

Female snow leopard Alliance soldier: "I'm glad you enjoy it; my old base had an excess of grounds, and they didn't mind that I took some when I was shipped here."

Male human Alliance soldier #1: "Where were you deployed originally?"

Female snow leopard Alliance soldier: "Hilthra."

Male human Alliance soldier #1: "That's the name of one of your Spirit's, right?"

Female snow leopard Alliance soldier (nods): "That's right, I'm surprised you know about that."

The man only chuckled before taking another sip from his coffee. As he set it down, he looked back down the road before seeing two lights getting closer and brighter. He got up and started getting his rifle, alongside the leopard once she realized the incoming car.

After they stepped outside, they saw a small, yet fancy car pulls up to the booth. The man walked to the window while the leopard walked to the very front of it. The man knocked on the window, and it rolled down in response, showing the face of white male human wearing a business suit and sunglasses. The man thought that this was weird, but shook his head before saying,

Male human Alliance soldier #1: "Unless you have proof your supposed to be here, I need you to turn around."

Without saying response, the strange man pulled out a paper and an ID. After the man read the ID and paper, he gave it back to the man before waving at the leopard, causing her to walk to the side. He then looked back at the man before saying,

Male human Alliance soldier #1: "Enjoy your visit sir."

The man didn't say anything as the window of the car rolled up and he drove through. The soldier scoffed at this, calling him a dick in his head.

The car drove into the checkpoint until finding a parking lot close to the gate. After parking and shutting off the ignition, he exited his car before walking to the back. As he started opening his trunk, three figures started walking to him. Two were Anthro's, a male lion and a female tiger, while the final one was an older male human, seeming to be the officer in charge.

As they get close, the officer asked,

Male human Alliance officer: "May I ask who you are and what your business may be here?"

The man never gave a response as he gave his ID to the officer before opening his trunk. The officer looked at the ID with little interest before looking into the trunk. Inside was a large, metallic case that was barely fitting inside the trunk of the car. The man also pulled out the paper from before and gave it to the officer, who scoffed in response before asking,

Male human Alliance officer: "Do you have any idea how important communication is to us. Speaking of which, you mute or something?"

Male human: "..."
