(A/N: Before we get started, I should inform all of you that they next three chapters will be happening at the same time, just with different POV's. Now that that's cleared up, let's go back to the story.)
Zero's POV:
April 22nd, 2093, 20:00:
Over the North Pacific Ocean, near Japan:Well, this is definitely something that even I'm surprised about. The Darkness had, indeed, talked to Helena about this prior to him telling me. Sitting in this C-130, designed for stealth and other things, I looked over at the Darkness, who was sharpening his sword with a stone. Almost as if sensing my gaze, he said,
Darkness: "I have to admit, you managed to calm Chloe down very well back there."
Zero (curious): "You think so?"
Darkness (nods): "I know so, it won't be long before it is you calling the shots in that team."
Zero: "That's unlikely to happen, the Darkness, Chloe is still able and sharp, minus a few anger issues that she needs for her powers."
The Darkness only chuckled before turning back to his sword, sharpening it to the point sparks started flying off. Looking from my left to right, we were the only two in the main cargo hold, with a single humvee that we would be using when we got down there. Still, the reason for me to come alone was strange, if not outright suspicious as hell. I mean, encouraging the future generation is important, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm a outsider to them.
Raising my knife, I looked at it like normal, beginning to wonder how the others are doing. If I remember correctly, they were about to leave to do a mission against a member of Huntress's Pack. From what I also understand, it's the Wolfblade wannabe, which seemed way too strange, and if we follow Metal Gear logic here, it may be an eventually lead to a recruitment.
Then again, this isn't Metal Gear, it shouldn't be that easy, could it? Eh whatever, that's the story for when I come back to them, for now, I got people to inspire or whatever. Huh, now that I think about it, I never really got where exactly we were going. Looking at the Darkness, I asked,
Zero: "Hey, where exactly are we going again?"
Darkness: "The land of the Rising Sun, Japan, which was known for their people's unique desire to work, anime, and high IQ's."
Zero: "I can't tell if you're joking or if your being serious."
Darkness: "And let us keep the mystery, it's more fun that way."
Come on, how can this dude, who's likely older than me, act like a joker-riddler mix with some 40k Bullshit armor, medieval sword, and impossible stealth? Wait, actually, that's among the stuff that has some sense in this world, since it would have an explanation behind it. Meanwhile, there's Chloe's and I's powers that can help us avoid total nuclear annihilation from point fucking blank.
Yeah, nothing about me makes sense, and it all started the second I came into this world with my self-healing shit. Honestly, I've never really thought too hard on it before, since I was just surviving with each day, hardly giving a fuck about the future except for the next day. But now that I have a far greater knowledgeable grasp of my power, I can see how it would confuse those medics and doctors in the Forlorn Republic, or other armies we assisted back then.
Feeling a sudden jolt from the plane, I started looking around in confusion until I started feeling the presence of another person in the here. Looking at the Darkness, I saw Sensei Tremble sitting next to the Darkness, sitting in a meditation position. I should question the logic of how the hell he got in here from out of nowhere, but considering what I just thought about, that isn't going to be something I will question at all.
