Helena's POV:

Vanguard Base:Sitting in my office, like usual, I was going over the various reports of the many facilities of this Base. Or rather, I would be doing that, if I wasn't staring in absolute shock at this photo of the Hawaiian Islands after Zero delivered the power source there. While some of the higher rank officers of the Alliance may question his methods, I can say for sure that they get results.
The photo showed the Aftermath of Hawaiian Islands, which were either covered in Magma, burnt up, or even clouded with smoke. From what I was told, Zero decided that the power source was too much for any one faction to control and decided that destroying it was the safest option. While the Alliance would've preferred to have it in their hands, they definitely aren't arguing with the hit Cerberus just took after Zero threw that power source in the volcano.
According to some well-placed spies selected by the Darkness, Cerberus lost over a third of their forces because of this, and production on their A.C.P.U. units just took a heavy hit, since the main factory was on the very island that the volcano that blew up was. Well, at least the C.A. and Cerberus won't have any new units on the field anytime soon, and if we're lucky, we'll be able to take complete control over South America because of the hit Cerberus just took.
Still, to think all this could happen from something as small as a baseball was frightening, hopefully, this'll all work in our favor. Alright, let's start actually doing stuff instead of staring at this image. Clicking it away, I started going over the various reports that were available on my computer, reading and authorizing them appropriately.
Eventually, I came across the Alpha Team's expected missions, and see that Chloe is doing her duo missions for the team members. Let's see, Rena will be with Via, Douglas with Mariana, and Ruby with Zero. Huh, nothing seems wrong with this, so I fail to recognize any type of issue, which will lead me to just nod and move on. Hm, let's see where Chloe plans on deploying them.
Alright, so Rena and Via will head to the ARC factory in Vancouver, a good choice, since while the mark II ARC was disabled, it's still able to be used should the C.A. find another power source. Alright, besides that, Douglas and Mariana are heading to Calgary to take out the C.A. forces stationed there, which will definitely help us secure the area to take a decent amount of Canada to help split up the C.A. up and take them out more effectively.
As for Ruby and Zero, they're heading to Quebec City to help assist in the defense of the city and give aid to the injured soldiers and civilians there. Quebec City, if I remember correctly, it's a major fight for control there ever since the Alliance started making moved on Eastern States in Canada. Jumping there would definitely be a major help to the Alliance, and perhaps get more civilians to consider joining us instead of staying with the Corrupters Armada.
Still, thinking about the situation with the mark II ARC, and Alias's face on live television, he must've been pissed when its only power source was not only taken, but destroyed, used as a makeshift nuke against Cerberus. Thinking of Alias's embarrassment puts a smile on my face, since he was very prideful of it during the presentation. After some more thought, I decided to go through Chloe's training regimen for today and just continue on with the various reports.
After some time, I managed to get through it all, only for a notification to go off on my email. Opening it up, I looked at it and realized that this was a general order from both General's, along with a signed signature from the President and Congress. It was orders for a preparation of war against the Reaper's, and that officers should be prepared should they get orders to send their squads and personal to the Eastern Continents if we're ever called.
Now this was definitely a surprise, as we're already at war with the C.A. and Cerberus, and that Interdimensional army, the CICWA too, if I remember correctly. Now we're fighting Reaper's, known for their inability to die and rampant infection, turning people into husks before becoming full blown Reaper's. Yeah, I'll probably be called soon, since Zero and Chloe are probably the only ones who could possibly kill Reaper's that are on our side.
