Rex's POV:
April 20th, 2093, 13:56:
Washington, DC:

Walking through the halls of the Whitehouse, I was looking over some of the reports I've been given about the outposts we've begun making in the Eastern Continents. So far, the Lost, as the Darkness has said they were called, has been cooperative so far, even giving suggestions as to strategic positions we could utilize. If what the Darkness says is true, we could have Reaper's on our side, should we win this, 'Reaper War,' going on.

Hm, so far, there hasn't been any serious problems with deployment of these outposts, just the occasional fright from being close to Reaper's. What's more, the Oracle, who I was introduced to just yesterday, offered to help us even further in a co-lead position in our army. While it was unprofessional, his advice on Reaper's are greatly valuable to us, so I accepted his proposal.

Looking through it all, we've mainly set up outposts in Russia, Japan, and Eastern China, with a few further inland near the Lost settlements. After going through all the primary documents, I saw the recent order General Greymore and I approved of involving the Alpha Team. They would be assisting the Lost in their newest operation against the, 'Reaper Warlord,' as it's called.

Honestly, it gets confusing keeping up with these names of creatures that aren't humans or Anthro's. We got Apex, Orion, and that thing that attacked Los Vegas, or New Vegas if you're a local, Exom. It might be best to improve the gear of the National Guard, just to avoid a situation like that again. Honestly, improving things are technically easier, since the National Debt that once plagued the US faded away to nothing when the Anthro's took over.

Well, at least there was some good the Anthro's did for this country, even if the execution of said good resulted in Humanities near extinction. Anyways, going through the halls, I eventually found myself in front of the doors to the Oval Office, where the President was having a meeting with certain officials, which would include Greymore and I. She should already be inside, so I walk up to the door and knock on it, awaiting a response,

Male Eagle President (muffled): "Come in."

Upon hearing his voice, I opened the door and looked inside, seeing about twenty people inside, including the President himself, Sophia Greymore, and even the Darkness. Entering the room, I walked over to the empty seat in between Sophia Greymore and the Darkness before sitting down. After I sat down, I looked at the President before saying,

Rex: "I apologize for my tardiness sir; I was overlooking reports of our operations in the Eastern Continents."

Male Eagle President (smiles): "Don't worry General Rex, you have every right to worry about such an important operation, along with General Greymore, now then, let's get back to our main purpose for this meeting."

Sitting in my seat, I listened attentively to the President as he spoke, talking about the current state of this war. Due to the fact we are doing so much without a lot of information about the many armies we are facing at the same time, we're getting on the verge of ignoring the needs of the people, which will happen should we continue with such disregard. While I can't blame him for this worry, it gets hard trying to keep the peace and ensuring the needs of the people at the same time.

Thankfully, the more scientific minded humans in the room suggested a project that focuses entirely for the needs of the civilians, one that would require the help of the people themselves. To discuss this more productively, and for our sakes, the President decided to allow Sophia Greymore and I to leave and plan our next action for the Reaper Operation. As we leave, I sighed in relief, glad I wasn't going to sit through the most technical explanation of whatever for over an hour.

Turning the Sophia Greymore, I saw that she seemed distant, distracted perhaps? Looking around, I didn't see anybody else, so maybe I could ask of it's a personal matter? Tapping her shoulder, she looked up at me curiously, wondering what I want. Looking at her, I asked,
