I woke up to the rays of the sun shining into my room through the blindes , I stretched as I felt them gently kiss my skin . It's been a while since I've had such great sleep.

I smiled before I got out of bed and walked out of my room . The moment I got out I saw Yeri plopped on the couch staring at her phone.

"Morning Yeri!" I exclaimed , "oh.... morning Amy," Yeri replied, plastering an obviously forced smile on her face.

I then recalled what happened at the hospital yesterday, not only that , but all the events of this past week.

I honestly can't imagine how she's feeling right now. All I can do is sit by and be there for her and hope that things will get better.

I got to the kitchen and just before I opened the fridge my phone rung.

"Have you seen my phone anywhere?" I asked , Yeri tilted her head as she paused to listen to where the sound was coming from , "isn't it still in your room?" She responded. That's right! It's still in my room.

I rushed over and just before the call cut I answered , "Hello!" I enthusiastically greeted . "Whoa , someone's happy this morning" the other line said.

Liam!?

I pulled my phone away from my ear to see the contact and noticed it was Liam , I didn't even check who was calling before I answered.

"Liam!" , "The one and only" he said , making me let out a small laugh. "So what's up?" I asked, walking back into the kitchen to make some cereal.

"Nothing much , I just wanted to call you, y'know.....hear your voice" he replied and I instantly squealed in joy , an action that resulted in him laughing on the other side of the call.

I just can't explain how happy I am right now , knowing that it's been months since we've talked this way.

It feels like nothing happened. Nothing changed.

We then spent a good 30 minutes just talking to eachother while I had my breakfast, gaining little looks from Yeri as she cringed at our conversation.

Resulting in me laughing even more.
The whole 30 minutes we had just been talking about all the stuff we should do together once he's out , from picnics and library dates to plans of going to book conventions out of state.

If it weren't for him having to go for his physiotherapy session, who knows how long we would've been talking for.

"I love you Amy" he said , making me blush even more , "I love you too Liam" I said as he hang up.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I love that man!" I shouted while spinning around with a huge smile on my face, I paused the moment I heard Yeri laughing at me.

"And why are you laughing?" I jokingly asked , "nothing, no reason at all!" She answered with a smile on her face. One that was genuine.

That's my girl.

I took my bowl of cereal over to the sink as I begun to wash it , "Y'know, soon enough our positions will swap, I'll be the one laughing at YOU going feral over Nate" I said and the moment those words came out of my mouth I paused.

I shouldn't have said that.

I looked at Yeri and noticed her face fall.

"Yeri..." , "It's fine......I hope that day will come......even if it's highly unlikely now" she quietly said , looking back at her phone screen.
