Chapter 44 : Out

K o n a n e . POV

"It's simple , just get her to hit on you!" Lewis said. A week had passed since Lewis and I decided to bust Zaina but things weren't as simple as we wanted.

"It's not that easy Y'know" I respond sipping my smoothie. We decided to just meet up for lunch today and not play a game. Loud laughs erupted from one of the tables, it seemed Jake made a joke and everyone loved it.

"Look at her in his arms....shes such a fake" Lewis smeared. "Please don't tell me you're talking about Zaina...." Major said , sat next to Lewis , "The hell I am" Lewis responded. Zaina and 2 of her friends were here too, one of them being Ezrela. 

Major rolled his eyes and smacked Lewis' arm "oh give it up Lewis". "No! And don't hit me!" Lewis retorted, punching Majors shoulder , "ow!" Major yelled.

I let out a laugh as they continued to bicker. I got up and walked towards the restrooms , they were in the back of the restaurant.

"I'll be back, please don't kill eachother while I'm gone" I say laughing as they both glare at me.

I got up and left, but for an odd reason I could feel someone's eyes on me but I decided to ignore it.

I got done and walked out of the restroom. There was a long hallway to walk through to get back to the restaurant, I assumed having the restrooms tucked back here was for sanitary purposes but man, it seemed like a marathon.

I was about leave but my phone dinged. I got it out of my pocket and it was a text from Lewis, it read 'She's coming'.

"Who's coming?" I muttered, "someone's coming?" I jumped at the sound of someone next to me. I didn't even notice I wasn't alone.

It was Zaina.

Wait....ITS ZAINA!

I get it now!

"Hello Zaina" I greeted , turning my phones audio recorder on.

"Hi....i was hoping we could talk" she responded. Deep down I want to walk away as fast as I can, but we had to get her. Prove she'a playing with Jake , but i couldn't make it obvious.

"I don't want anything to do with you Zaina" I spoke , she rolled her eyes in response , "why are you so dense Konane! You're telling me you didn't feel anything when we kissed?" She said.

"No...I didn't. YOU kissed me without MY permission. You kissed your boyfriend's friend!" I hissed, "so what? You're telling me you're not interested?" She answered.

My eyebrows furrowed. Goodness shes evil.

"No. I'm not. I don't date cheaters" I retorted, "did you just call me a cheater?!" She yelled. It was a small place so obviously it echoed, I bet people probably heard it. But I didn't care.

"Yes...you're a cheater. Who kisses her boyfriend's friends and then proceeds to further hit on them?!" I reply , "I'm not hitting on you! I just want to talk!" She yelled , louder than before.

What the hell?

"Stop yelling! You're disturbing other people. Now leave me alone" I turned to walk away , "you DO NOT get to walk away from me" she said, pulling my and and forcing me to face her.

In a brief moment I saw her smirk.
