Chapter 46 : Home (Part 1)

"I think the emerald green and gold would go great together" I say , holding my phone between my shoulder and cheek as I staple the wrapping paper.

"So by 2pm?....okay great, thank you!" The call then cut and I put my phone down.

"The decor team I hired will be here at 2 pm tomorrow" I announced to everyone.

"Will they have enough time to decorate the place?" Yeri asked , sat on the floor wrapping her gift.

"These guys are the best! They got this" I assured her.

We were in the guys apartment getting ready for Liam's big discharge party tomorrow. It was finally happening. He was coming home!

The boys were cleaning up Nate and Liam's room while Yeri , Lara and I were wrapping the gifts.

"All done!" Jeremiah exclaimed walking out .

"Not so fast, I need you guys to do 2 more things" I said.

Jeremiah loudly groaned.

"Calm down Jere...this is important for Amy" Lara spoke. Jeremiah sighed in defeat.

"Fine. What is it?" Jeremiah asked.

I instantly smiled at his compliance. I could get used to Lara making him agree to do stuff.

"I need us to split into two teams. 1 group will handle cleaning this place up for tomorrow's party and washing Liam's car.." I begun.

Nate choked on the water he was drinking , "I completely forgot he had a car!"

"Right?! Do yall think it's even still running , it's been months" Konane added.

I gave a small smile.

"I don't know Konane and that's why I need you , Nate and I to be on clean up and car...fixing I guess. The rest of you guys will have to go grocery shopping for Liam's dinner" I said.

"Is it fine if I switch with Nate?" Lara asked , "what no!" Jeremiah whined.

"My dad was a Mechanic before he got into business and as his only child let's just say he used me as an assistant for a good while..." Lara begun explaining, we gave her confused looks.

"He wanted a boy" she added. We all then nodded in understanding.

"So I know my way around cars, I have a feeling you guys will end up taking it to a mechanic or something later so to save some money why don't I help!" She finished.

She had a point.

"But why switch with Nate?" Konane asked , "because he out of all of us excluding Amitola knows what food liam likes and I doubt Amy would leave us on clean up duty without her around" Lara continued.

She had a point. No way I would trust the boys to clean the place , I trust Konane but not Nate and Jeremiah.

"Alright. Nate you're on food duty , Lara you're with us" I concluded.

I noticed Nate give Yeri a small smile and she instantly blushed.

Oh Lara you are GOOD.

"Here's my key, make sure to put in some gas on your way back" Konane said , tossing his keys to Jeremiah who was noticeably annoyed.

"You got your drivers license?" Nate asked , "yep! While you were sulking I was doing something productive!" Jeremiah replied getting a light slap on the arm from Lara.
