After [Y/N] and Hange left the hospital that night, they ended up taking a drive over to the lake on the other side of town. It was the weekend, only a little after 10 p.m. and neither of the girls were ready to go home. They had other plans with Sasha and Connie, but once Hange got that text from Levi, she dropped the plans. She really didn't totally understand the whole Levi obsession, but she did agree that he was very interesting, especially now after the events of that night.

When she spoke to Zeke's father, Grisha, about Levi's situation, he seemed pretty confused. That type of reaction was pretty unusual for him. He was one of the best doctors around, he had tons of experience, and he usually had an answer for everything. Whatever kind of episode Levi had was clearly not something normal. It really did make Grisha very curious about him as well.

Both Hange and [Y/N] spent the rest of that night parked up by the lake. The sky was clear, and the moon and stars were reflecting off of the water in front of them. Singing, gossiping, and tons of laughter is what the rest of the night involved. They also made a few prank calls that night to Connie, Jean, Ymir, Eren, and even one to Levi. That last one wasn't the best idea and ended with Levi telling them to go run in traffic and he would come find them if they called again.

Throughout all of the years [Y/N] had known Hange, she has just always been her loud, friendly, caring, clumsy, smart self. She loved all creatures big and small and lived her life like it was her last. She also enjoyed sci-fi and murder mystery shows and novels. Oh.. and she also referred to Edgar Allan Poe as her "bitch". As strange as Hange was at times, [Y/N] ended up becoming much closer with her than most of the other girls near her age. She really enjoyed her company, so if spending more time with Levi was something she had to deal with, then so be it.

Levi was discharged from the hospital late Saturday evening. His nurse informed him he would need to have a few follow-ups with his doctor, Dr. Jaeger. All of his blood work came back normal, which was a relief, but he was also upset that he didn't get any answers. There was one more test the doctor wanted to do on Levi, but he was stubborn and just wanted to get the hell out of that place. He was informed that the test would be done at one of his next appointments.

Exhausted didn't even begin to describe how Levi felt. He was drained, extra pale, and the bags under his eyes were way worse than usual. Luckily, Kenny gave Levi off from work for the next week with pay, and Farlan offered to work doubles to cover his shifts. He couldn't have been more grateful because he was in no condition to deal with those damn animals at the bar. It was bad enough that he still had to worry about his classes all next week.

[Sunday, 11:50 a.m.]

Today was the Homecoming game, and Levi thought about telling Hange he couldn't make it. He knew she would understand, considering he wasn't feeling great still.. but for some reason, he couldn't get himself to do it. He felt his phone vibrate, and he slowly pulled it out of his pocket and brought up his messages.

"Tch." Levi didn't want to even be there to begin with, let alone have to try to force himself to speak to Hange's other friends. Why did he have to be such a damn pussy? He should have just told Hange he wasn't feeling well still. I mean.. it wouldn't have been a lie, right?

He left his apartment and slowly made his way to Freedom University's football field. He only lived a couple of blocks from the university, and as he walked outside, he could already hear a loud voice coming from a speaker, and a crowd starting to roar in the distance.
