Revel's not strict about clothes. The only things they disallow are shorts, open shoes, and slippers whereas I wore black-brown trousers and a navy blue button down shirt rolled up until my elbows, tucked in. I also put on my dark brown belt and my wristwatch.

It was eleven nang makapasok ako sa loob. Of course, it wasn't that easy. The traffic was popping and my eyesight went so bad that I had to buy a new eyeglasses. Lagi kong naiiwan ang salamin ko kung saan-saan.

"VIP reservation under Derwick Avanzado." I pulled my sleeves upwards even more.

"Your ID, Sir?"

I grabbed my wallet and swiftly moved my ID using my two fingers. The lady looked at the card and to me once. Nang makumpirma, she gave it back to me and opened the doors for me.

"Enjoy, Sir!"

My lips twisted when I came alone. Ang alam ko ay nauna na sila kaysa sa akin nang ilang minuto because I have my delays.

I looked around, barely moving my head. Suddenly, everything became strange. I was all into night outs—or at least, I used to. I feel like there are a lot of differences. Music, vibe, and... the overall hit to me.

I've been here, countless times. First, it was out of curiosity from a late night street stroll noong kasama ko ang mga pinsan ko. They are beasts for clubbing and parties, maliban kay Leigh na napipilitan lang almost every time.

I found my way to the VIP section dahil sa nasa unahan iyon, katabi ng restroom. Sa dami na ng puntahan kong clubs, I tend to forget the interior of each places. It feels new, for some reason or I'm just forgetful of the details.

"Rhys, dito!"

My eyes shrunk when I heard that voice. It was from Derwick. The lights are almost giving me headaches, dahilan upang mas lalo pang lumabo ang paningin ko.

Lumapit ako sa table kung saan ko siya naaaninaw. I was right. He was the one who called me. Kasama niya roon si Hwang at si June.

"Hey..." June was the closest to me. He tapped my shoulders at kinabig ako upang makipag-apir. "Sup?"

"Yo." Si Hwang na nginitian lang ako.

"Iyon, oh! Fresh!" Derwick copied June's way of welcoming me. "Buti dumating ka? Akala ko joke joke mo lang 'yong text mo, eh!"

I did text him before I came, saying that... I changed my mind.

I thought about it after my classes and realized that... it wasn't actually bad. The food and drinks are on Derwick, maging ang entrance. May pool din sa labas. To summarize... minsan lang ang ganito. And I'm the only one who's not going to come.

"Yeah..." Nasabi ko na lang. "Where are the others?" I asked while looking at the empty seats.

Derwick's nose scrunched. "Others? Who do you mean by that?"

"I thought you would bring your friends?"

"Si June lang ang may kasama. Si Hwang... ayaw dalhin ang girlfriend. Soft launch pa lang daw."

Ngumisi ang unang nabanggit. Si Hwang naman, natawa lang.

"Yup. I brought my girl." June proudly said. "She's in the restroom. Sinamahan lang ni Mae. You know... girl things."

My lips parted.

She came?

"Oh, iyan na yata!"

Napatingin kami sa aming gilid. Truly, there's someone walking towards us.
