Don't Hesitate

As Joseph narrowed his gaze, the scaly Kakuja emerged from his back, anticipating the paratroopers soon to descend from the hovering zeppelins. The Yeagerists on the HQ roof had already rushed inside, seeking refuge from the impending chaos and upcoming battle. As the Consort King had predicted, paratroopers leapt from the aircraft one by one and they formed a dense canopy above the District.

While Marleyan soldiers were scanning for safe landing spots amidst enemy territory, they noticed swift blade-like arrows hurtling towards them. At first, confused by the approaching projectiles, they soon got to the horrifying realization of that being the Ghoul's Kakuja. Joseph was using his Warhammer abilities to send razor sharp arrows at the descending men. It was piercing through the soldiers' bodies, killing them instantly, and puncturing their parachutes, sending them down at high speed to their imminent demise. The terror of such a brutal demise shattered the resolve of some Marleyans, who frantically unfastened their parachutes in a desperate bid to survive with broken bones rather than face certain death. Yet, even those who dared hope for a safer landing were not spared; the Man Eater's claws tore through them mid-air, silencing their screams before they could reach the ground.

As Joseph saw that no paratroopers were jumping from the zeppelin anymore, the sound of machine guns reached him from his side. Turning his head, he saw enemy troops securing positions on the rooftops, firing relentlessly at the Yeagerists who tried to hunt them down with their ODM, while the new wave of soldiers jumped from the air ships.

Joseph: They knew how to attack us, I give them that.

As he prepared to unleash his Kakuja upon the newly arrived Marleyans, a flash of yellow lightning lit up the sky near the outer gate. Joseph's eyes widened as he recognized the telltale sign of a Titan transformation. His gaze darted back just in time to see the formidable form of the Armored Titan taking shape, crashing down into the District with a resounding thud.

Hearing the loud crash of the Armored Titan's arrival, Joseph immediately made his way to the central road that ran through the heart of the District. Despite the ever growing chaos, the relentless gunfire, the non-stop sounds of zipping through the air and other sounds of what felt like hell on Earth—Joseph walked calmly to the center of the street. As he reached it, he stared down at Reiner, who noticed him and returned his unwavering gaze.

Joseph: It's been a while, Reiner.

Reiner: This is the end, Joseph. Today, it's all gonna be over.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Reiner charged at Joseph with a fist ready to strike. Joseph didn't flinch. Instead, he raised his hand, revealing a cut across his palm. A second later, yellow lightning struck, and Joseph transformed into his Titan form. This time, however, his Titan was different. It bore white armored plating at arms, knees, and neck that flexed with his movements.

As soon as his transformation was complete, Joseph threw a punch with his hardened, brass-knuckled fist, connecting with the Armored Titan's fist.

WHAM!

The punches met with a massive bang, creating a thunderous sound that sent shockwaves through the air, shattering nearby windows. The Armored Titan quickly followed up with a blow aimed directly at the Founding Titan's face. Anticipating the attack, Joseph pulled his head back, narrowly avoiding the move. He crouched slightly, then delivered a powerful strike to the Armored Titan's chin, sending Reiner crashing into a wall, severely damaging the armor on the Titan's jaw.

Joseph held his ground, watching as Reiner recovered and rose back to his feet. When Reiner looked up, he saw Joseph in a combat stance that blended Annie's techniques with his own. Utilizing his new Warhammer ability, Joseph materialized four white, Titan-hardened claws from his back, resembling his own Kakuja.
