Chapter 3

When I got home, I received a message.

Katniss: "Thanks for today, Waverine.
Rest well and goodnight."

Hindi ko na 'to nireplyan at nagbihis nalang bago humiga sa kama.

"Hi baby, how are you today?" Kausap ko si Cloud, my cat. He came near me and sat beside me where my phone located.

Tumunog muli ang phone ko, pero hindi ko na 'to pinansin. Hanggang sa magsunod-sunod ang notifications. Inis kong kinuha ang phone bago tinignan.

I was shocked when I opened my phone. There's a lot of stickers I sent on Katniss. That's embarrassing. What the fuck?

Katniss: Hey, are you okay? Is there
a problem?

I just accidentally clicked
those stickers and random
letters, sorry. : Me

Katniss: Oh, I thought you missed me.

Assuming naman. Napairap nalang ako sa hangin at hindi na nag reply.

When I woke up, my head hurts again. It's 8:15 in the morning, buti nalang ay vacant ang first subject dahil late na rin akong pinatulog ng nga letcheng school activities na 'yan.

Today is our business plan presentation, so I need to organize my things before going to school.

Lumabas ako ng kwarto at kumain ng breakfast, surprisingly, ay may nakahain sa mesa kasi madalas ay hindi naman nagluluto ang nanay ko.

Pumasok si lola Soraya sa kitchen na may hawak na sandok. So, tama nga ako? Hindi nga ang nanay ko ang nagluto, ano pa bang aasahan ko simpleng breakfast ni hindi niya magawa para sa mga anak niya, pero kapag sa anak ng iba napakagaling.

My lola greeted me good morning and ate. Naligo ako nang mabilis dahil magrereview pa pala ako sa subject naming Research dahil may quiz. Sakit sa ulo. But suddenly, biglang nagsalita si lola.

"Apo, bakit mo naman sinagot sagot si mama mo?" she asked, concerned.

"Ginaya ko lang naman po siya," I said. Totoo naman na ginaya ko lang siya, the way she talked and cursed me. I know I disrespected her, and I'm a little bit guilty, because hindi naman ako pinalaki nang ganito ni lola.

"Bad yon apo, 'wag mo nang uulitin ha," she sweetly said.

Lumaki ako sa ganitong paraan, soft parenting, kaya hindi ako sanay sa kung anong ipinapakita ng nanay ko. I just nodded at Lola's words.

I can't imagine myself if I'll lost someone special like her. Expect the worst in every situation but even if I expect things, masakit pa rin.

Naligo ako at nag-ayos, I wore officer attire beige blazer, trousers, black heels, and white top. Iniladlad ko lamg ang mahaba kong buhok bago umalis ng bahay.

Finally, nasa school na rin ako, pero namomoroblema kaming magkakagroup sa power point presentation. Buti nalang ay dala ko ang laptop at naayos agad.

We entered the room, I felt my hands tremble because of the cold air surrounding the whole room. Our subject teacher and panelists were already here. I'm used to this kind of presentation, dahil hindi na bago sa'kin ang ganito. Pero hindi  pa rin mawawala ang kaba sa aking sistema. It's part of myself.

"In conclusion, the assets, liabilities, and equity of the company are equally balanced with the capital of 5,000,000 pesos." I said confidently that I would make eye contact with them. Behind those confidence, past failures were hidden that made me stronger today.
