They walked back into the mansion, Joshua leaning on Mingyu for support. Jeonghan was sitting in the living room, his face a mix of joy and sorrow. Seungkwan took a deep breath and spoke up. "Joshua, there's something you need to know. Jeonghan is your twin brother."
Joshua's eyes widened in shock. "Twin brother? I... I have a brother?"
Jeonghan nodded, his voice trembling. "Our mother took me with her when she left, and I didn't know about you until recently. When she died, she told me to find you and our father."
Joshua stared at Jeonghan, his emotions swirling. He walked over and embraced his brother, tears streaming down his face. "I'm so happy to meet you, Jeonghan."
Jeonghan hugged him back tightly, a mixture of relief and happiness flooding through him. "I'm happy to meet you too, Joshua."
Mingyu watched the reunion, his heart heavy with conflicting emotions. He was overjoyed to have Joshua back, but he couldn't ignore the bond he had formed with Jeonghan. He knew things were about to get complicated.
After Joshua and Jeonghan met, Seungkwan gently led Joshua to a guest room. As Joshua settled down, he looked at Seungkwan with a puzzled expression. "Why aren't we going to our room, mine and Mingyu's?" he asked.
Seungkwan gave him a reassuring smile, though his eyes held a hint of worry. "You've been through a lot, Joshua. I thought it might be better for you to have some space to rest and process everything. Once you've had some time, we can talk more."
Joshua nodded, though a part of him felt uneasy. Exhausted, he lay down and soon drifted into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, Mingyu entered his room, only to find Jeonghan sitting on the bed, tears streaming down his face. Mingyu's heart ached seeing him like this. He approached slowly, sitting beside him. "Jeonghan, I..."
Jeonghan wiped his tears and shook his head. "Mingyu, I think it's best if I move to another room. If Joshua sees us here together, it will hurt him. He needs to feel at home and loved."
Mingyu nodded, understanding the wisdom in Jeonghan's words, even though it pained him. With a heavy heart, he helped Jeonghan gather his clothes and belongings. Mingyu assisted Jeonghan in moving things to another guest room. Seungkwan, on the other hand, busied himself with transferring Joshua's clothes to Mingyu's room, ensuring everything was in its proper place.
When Joshua woke up, Seungkwan was there to guide him. "Joshua, let me show you to Mingyu's room," he said with a warm smile.
As they entered the room, Joshua's eyes widened in surprise and happiness. Nothing had changed; it was just as he remembered it. The familiar surroundings brought a rush of emotions, and he felt a sense of deep comfort. He turned to Seungkwan, his eyes shining. "gyu... he didn't change anything. He must still love me deeply."
Seungkwan nodded, placing a hand on Joshua's shoulder. "He does, Joshua. He never stopped loving you." Just then, Mingyu entered the room, his eyes softening as he saw Joshua's smile. Joshua walked over to him, wrapping his arms around Mingyu. "I missed you so much gyu," he whispered. Mingyu held him tightly, his voice filled with emotion. "I missed you too, shua. More than words can say".
Joshua lay awake in the dimly lit room, staring at the ceiling as the hours ticked by. He felt a growing sense of unease, sensing that something was amiss. Mingyu, lying next to him, seemed restless too. Eventually, Mingyu slipped out of bed, thinking Joshua was asleep.
Joshua waited a few moments, then quietly followed Mingyu. He trailed him down the hall and saw Mingyu enter Jeonghan's room. Joshua's heart pounded in his chest as he crept closer, peering through the slightly open door. Inside, he saw Mingyu back-hugging a crying Jeonghan.
"Mingyu, you should be with Joshua," Jeonghan said, his voice trembling.
"I can't leave you like this," Mingyu replied, his voice heavy with emotion. He turned Jeonghan towards him, and Jeonghan broke down in his arms. Mingyu soothed him gently, whispering comforting words until Jeonghan finally drifted off to sleep. Mingyu lay beside him, holding him close, and eventually, they both fell asleep.
Joshua's breath caught in his throat as he watched the scene unfold. He felt a mix of shock, betrayal, and heartbreak. Unable to process what he had seen, he returned to his room, his mind racing.
Over the next few days, Joshua observed Mingyu's nightly absences, confirming his fears. Each night, Mingyu left their bed to comfort Jeonghan, and each morning, he returned before Joshua woke up. The situation weighed heavily on Joshua's heart, and he knew he couldn't ignore it any longer.
The next morning, Joshua confronted Mingyu. As Mingyu came back to bed, Joshua sat up, his eyes filled with pain. "Mingyu, we need to talk," he said, his voice trembling. Mingyu froze, his heart sinking. "Joshua, what's wrong?"
"I know where you've been going every night," Joshua said, tears welling up in his eyes. "I followed you. I saw you with Jeonghan."
Mingyu's face paled. "Joshua, I..." Joshua held up a hand, stopping him. "I understand that you care about Jeonghan. He's my brother, and I love him too. But seeing you with him like that, it hurts. It feels like you're choosing him over me."
Mingyu's eyes filled with tears. "Joshua, I never meant to hurt you. I love you both, and I didn't know how to handle it. Jeonghan needed me, and I couldn't just abandon him."
Joshua shook his head, his tears spilling over. "But what about me, Mingyu? I need you too. We can't keep living like this, with secrets and divided hearts."
Mingyu sat down beside Joshua, taking his hands in his. "You're right, Joshua. This isn't fair to any of us. We need to find a way to be honest about our feelings and figure out how to move forward."
Mingyu found himself at a crossroads, torn between his love for Joshua and his feelings for Jeonghan. Each passing day felt heavier than the last as he wrestled with his emotions, unsure of which path to take.
