Seokmin leaned back on the couch in their shared dorm's living room, a wide smile plastered on his face as he scrolled through his phone. Joshua sat across from him, pretending to be engrossed in the book he was holding, but his eyes kept flickering to Seokmin every few seconds. Joshua's heart had been in a stormy whirl ever since that morning when Seokmin had decided to post those shirtless photos.
The images were undeniably breathtaking Seokmin's lean but muscular frame on full display, Joshua had to admit he loved how Hot and confident Seokmin looked in those pictures, but what he wasn't prepared for were the floods of comments from fans gushing over his boyfriend. "Our sunshine looks so hot!" were just the start. Then came the even more dramatic ones "Seokmin, please marry me!", "I'm on my knees, Seokmin-oppa, please notice me!", and "How is it legal to be this perfect?!" were just a few of the hundreds of comments that Joshua couldn't get out of his mind.
Joshua was used to keeping their relationship a secret. Being idols, they had to be careful, and he had never minded before. But now, a pang of jealousy twisted in his stomach. He frowned and flipped a page in his book, even though he hadn't read a single word. Joshua felt silly for feeling this way, but he couldn't shake the images of Carats practically declaring their love and adoration. He bit his lip, his pout growing more pronounced by the second.
Seokmin finally noticed the way Joshua was sulking. Setting his phone down, he tilted his head, eyebrows knitting together in concern. "baby?" he called gently, his voice as warm and sweet as always. "Is something wrong?"
Joshua huffed, cheeks puffing out like a grumpy chipmunk. He lifted his eyes from the book but kept his lips pressed in a pout. "Nope. Everything's fine," he replied, though his tone said otherwise.
Seokmin blinked in confusion. Joshua was usually so good at communicating, but right now, he was acting... well, different. Cute, but different. "Are you sure?" Seokmin asked, crawling off the couch and moving to sit beside Joshua. He placed a soft hand on Joshua's knee. "You seem upset."
Joshua let out a little whine, pushing his book down onto his lap. "Maybe I am," he mumbled, his eyes narrowing slightly. His heart was racing, and he felt a little silly for what he was about to say, but he couldn't help himself. "It's those photos you posted earlier."
Seokmin's eyes widened, and a playful grin tugged at his lips. "The shirtless ones?" he asked, unable to hide the amusement in his voice. He leaned a little closer to Joshua, curiosity sparkling in his eyes. "Well, what did you think, Shua? How did I look?" His tone was teasing, knowing full well that Joshua had definitely seen the photos.
Joshua's pout only deepened, and he stubbornly crossed his arms over his chest. "That's not the point," he mumbled, cheeks flushing. He couldn't deny that Seokmin looked... Hot, amazing, but he wasn't about to admit that out loud. Especially not while feeling this way. "It's just... Did you see all the comments?"
Seokmin chuckled, clearly enjoying Joshua's sulky mood. "I might've glanced at a few," he admitted, his grin growing wider. "Why? Did any of them stand out to you?" He was teasing, but he was also genuinely curious about what had Joshua acting so adorably grumpy.
Joshua huffed, looking away as his blush spread further across his cheeks. "They were... intense," he admitted, voice small. "Everyone was gushing over how handsome and hot you looked." He uncrossed his arms just to cross them again, as if trying to physically hold in his jealousy. "I know it's silly, but I couldn't help feeling... possessive."
Seokmin's heart melted at the confession. Seeing Joshua so flustered and jealous was unexpectedly endearing, and he couldn't resist reaching out to gently poke Joshua's puffed-out cheek. "Aww, Shua," he cooed.
He had always known Joshua to be gentle and understanding, and seeing him get possessive in the most precious way made Seokmin feel like his heart was bursting with affection. He couldn't help but giggle, earning a glare from Joshua.
"Why are you laughing?" Joshua whined, his voice pitching higher as he shifted away, only for Seokmin to quickly reach out and pull him back.
"I'm not laughing at you," Seokmin assured, his eyes sparkling with adoration. "You're just... so cute when you're jealous, you know that?" He cupped Joshua's face with both hands, tilting it up so he could see the pink that had deepened on Joshua's cheeks.
"I'm not cute," Joshua protested, but his pout only grew more pronounced, which made Seokmin chuckle even more. "I'm serious, Minnie! You're mine, and I don't like how everyone else gets to see how... amazing you look."
Seokmin's heart did another happy flip. "Okay, okay," he said, pressing a gentle kiss to Joshua's forehead. "I am yours, Shua. Only yours." He brushed his thumbs across Joshua's cheeks, feeling the warmth that spread under his touch. "I promise that no amount of comments or attention from fans will ever change that."
Joshua's eyes softened, but he wasn't ready to let go of his sulky act just yet. Still, he muttered, "I think I deserve some extra reassurance."
Seokmin's eyebrows shot up, a playful grin breaking out on his face. "Extra reassurance?" He tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Well, I suppose that can be arranged."
Before Joshua could ask what he meant, Seokmin scooped him up in a surprise hug, lifting him off the couch with ease. Joshua let out a squeak, the jealousy and sulkiness quickly replaced by laughter as Seokmin spun them both around. "Minnie!" he giggled, clutching onto Seokmin's shoulders. "Put me down!"
"Not until I make you smile," Seokmin teased, his own laughter filling the room. He finally set Joshua down, but not before peppering kisses all over his face, each one more affectionate than the last. Joshua's pout disappeared entirely, replaced by a wide smile that made Seokmin's heart race.
"You're impossible," Joshua sighed, though his tone was filled with fondness.
"And you're adorable," Seokmin shot back, leaning in for one last kiss, this time on Joshua's lips. It was sweet and gentle, a promise wrapped in love. "I love you, Shua. I'm always yours."
Joshua's heart swelled, and he couldn't help but feel a little silly for being so jealous. But as he wrapped his arms around Seokmin's neck, he knew he wouldn't have it any other way. "I love you too," he whispered, his jealousy completely forgotten as they held each other, basking in the warmth of their shared love.
