It's been a week since Joshua joined the university and met his mates and his life was going good until today. As Joshua entered the university gates at morning, he couldn't shake off the feeling of loneliness that lingered within him. Scoups as well as the other alphas, were preoccupied with pack duties, leaving Joshua to navigate the day on his own. Despite their assurances that they would always be there for him, Joshua couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at the thought of facing the day without them by his side.
As he made his way to his first class, Joshua tried to push aside his feelings of unease. He told himself that he could handle being alone for a few hours, that he didn't need his mates to protect him every moment of the day. But deep down, he longed for their comforting presence, their reassuring smiles, and the warmth of their friendship.
Throughout the morning, Joshua did his best to focus on his studies, burying himself in his textbooks and trying to ignore the nagging sense of loneliness that gnawed at him. But as the hours passed and lunchtime approached, his apprehension grew. The thought of sitting alone in the cafeteria, surrounded by strangers, filled him with dread.
When the lunch bell finally rang, Joshua gathered his things and headed to the cafeteria. As he stood in line, waiting to be served, he couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. He glanced around nervously, his heart pounding in his chest, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Chiding himself for being paranoid, Joshua grabbed his tray and found an empty table in a secluded corner of the cafeteria.
As he sat down and began to eat his lunch, Joshua tried to push aside his worries and focus on his meal. But just as he took his first bite, a group of students approached his table, their faces twisted with jealousy and resentment.
"Look who it is," one of them sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "It's the omega who thinks he's too good for the Alphas."
Joshua's heart sank as he realized what was happening. These students were jealous of his connection to the alphas, and they were determined to make him pay for it.
Before Joshua could respond, the students began to taunt him, hurling insults and accusations his way. They accused him of using his status as the alphas' mate to get special treatment, of thinking he was better than everyone else. Their words cut deep, reopening old wounds and filling Joshua with a sense of shame and inadequacy.
Desperate to escape the onslaught of abuse, Joshua tried to stand up and leave, but the students blocked his path, trapping him in his seat. With nowhere to run and no one to turn to for help, Joshua felt a wave of panic wash over him.
And then, without warning, the situation escalated. One of the students grabbed Joshua's tray and flung its contents across the table, sending food flying everywhere. Joshua watched in horror as his lunch was ruined, his clothes stained and sticky with sauce and crumbs.
Tears welled up in Joshua's eyes as he sat there, humiliated and helpless. He wanted nothing more than to disappear, to escape from the cruel taunts and the mocking laughter that echoed around him. But even in his darkest moment.
Joshua felt utterly defeated as he made his way to the nearest restroom. His clothes were stained, his face was tear-streaked, and his heart was heavy with despair. He couldn't bear the thought of returning to class in this state, so he decided to skip the rest of his lectures. Instead, he headed to the tree where he and his mates often spent their free time together. It was a place that usually brought him comfort, but today, it felt empty and cold without them.
As he sat under the tree, Joshua tried to steady his breathing and calm his racing heart. He leaned his head back against the trunk, closing his eyes and willing the tears to stop. The laughter and taunts from the cafeteria echoed in his mind, and he felt a crushing weight of loneliness and humiliation.
