Aaron got to his chambers and saw Miram there sitting on his bed.

He smirked, "I guess in the end, even you can't get angry at me for too long."

Her head whirled in his direction. She stood up and went to him.

"Do you think this is funny? Why did you bring that thing to this palace and to this territory in the first place?" She asked him like his actions were incredulous.

"I did bring her to the palace, but not to the territory. She came here of her own accord." He said very calmly.

He moved to his wardrobe and slowly began to peel his clothes from off his body.

Miram came to his back and placed her palm on his bare back before she began to trace her long and slender index over it.

His wolf didn't like to be near her anymore and so it kept growling. He was fighting it and trying hard to keep his cool. He didn't like to act like his animal self. He preferred to be calm and collected.

"You know that I don't like it when you disrespect me in front of your subjects, much less in front of that thing."

The way she kept referring to Mia as a thing was really pissing his wolf off but he was trying to keep his cool.

"You don't need to counter everything that I say. In the end, I am your Luna and so this territory is also mine." She said,

Aaron's eyes roamed her face as she did what she was doing. His top was already on the floor and she had his body pressed so closely to him. Just as he opened his mouth to talk. The door to his room flung open.

Miram and Aaron looked at the door to know who just entered uninvited. Miram smirked and pressed herself even harder on Aaron's bare and strong chest when she saw that it was Mia.

Mia quickly looked down, "I'm sorry, I didn't...mean..."

"Don't you see that you're interrupting us. We're in the middle of something." Miram said and traced her fingers from his chest down to his abdomen while seductively biting her lips.

"What do you want?" Aaron asked monotonously.

"I just wanted you to help me." Mia said, still looking anywhere but at Aaron.

Her eyes would momentarily rest on his bare chest but she would immediately take them off. Aaron saw her eye movement and it stirred something in him. He was desirous to have her but he wanted to take it one step at a time.

He needed her to give in to his demands of being his Luna and bearing his pups. But he was going to take his sweet time.

"What do you need his help with?" Miram asked, disgust was laced in her voice as she spoke to Mia.

"He has agreed to my proposal and now I need him to take me to the Craftsman. The old adviser tells me that he would be of great help." She said,

"You may leave, I'll come to you." He said.

Those words didn't sound like a command or a harsh speaking tone to Mia. Instead it sounded more like a "give me some time with this bi*ch and I'll come to you." Mia thought in a split second.

It sounded like something a lover would say to his partner. She shook the thought off immediately. Aaron was no lover, he was a brute.

She decided to settle with that.

She didn't say anything. She just walked back outside and gently closed the door behind her.

"You agreed to what she said? About not going to war?" Miram asked, she was very surprised by his actions.

"That sounds very unlikely of you Aaron."

Aaron bent over and picked his shirt back up.

Miram scoffed incredulously, "are you actually going to her. She can have Justice do whatever it is that she wants for her."

"Aaron, you're not even listening to me and replying to me." She almost yelled.

"I don't see any reason to. Now if you please, excuse me." He said and started his walk to his door.

"Ah!" He exclaimed softly and turned back to look at her,

"Get it out of your head that you're my Luna or this territory will be yours. It's better now than later, dear Miram."

She scoffed, "that's over my dead body."

"Suit yourself." He said and walked out the door leaving Miram behind.

He was expecting to see Mia standing at his door by the time he would come out but she wasn't there. She had moved further down the corridor and was standing in front of the staircase.

He smiled involuntarily and walked up to her hut his expression became unreadable once he got to where she was and she looked at him.

"You realize that you shouldn't barge into my room the way you did." He said calmly and began to lead her down the stairs.

She followed.

"I had pent up anger that I actually wanted to ease out and when I asked for your chambers, I was directed. It was hard to get them to talk though." Mia said also casually.

"But I guess you're not angry anymore?" He asked.

She scoffed and replied under her breath, "it's not even worth it."

Aaron just smirked without showing it.

He led outside the palace gates. Mia felt very relieved to be walking outside the palace after days of being cooped up inside and not being able to see the sun.

"The Craftsman prefers to work outside the palace."

"Yeah, and trust me, I wouldn't like it any other way." She replied.

"Your designs,"

"About that, it's going to be a secret that will stay only with me. It's how I will guarantee my safety and you realize that at some point I will be needing some assistance from some of your workers so that we can make them." She stated,  interrupting his speech.

He scoffed, "don't get too cocky yet Mia. You may fail eventually. I won't like to see your ego get bruised and have you cry all over the palace when you watch those ingrates die by my hands."

Mia stopped, "don't you feel anything. That's where you grew up."

He looked distant as he replied, "don't try to save them Mia. Just because they might have shown you love doesn't mean that it was the same for me."

Then he walked ahead of her.

Mia couldn't understand why he had so much hatred towards the Shadow pack. There had to be something behind it.
