Aaron watched as Miram laughed maliciously after asking him that question. Aaron could not understand why Miram was doing what she was doing when in fact it was for the betterment of the pack and the territory as a whole.

She leaned into him and whispered into his ear, "So, what are you going to do now Aaron?"

"Tell us Aaron, what have you agreed to do with this wanderer as she has been called and why would you agree to do anything without consulting the council?" The eldest Alpha asked.

They were all precious Alphas who had ruled before him. Some of them had inherited their position but the car was different for him and that was because Miram's father, Drake, had a daughter, just one and no son. And as the tradition of werewolves demand, no female shall rule as Alpha and since the Alpha had no successor, then the post was open to the young omegas in the pack.

Fortunately, Aaron had been a part of them at that time.

"We cannot let him rule us. He is still so young and also he does not belong here." One of the council members had said after Aaron had won the ritualistic competition that helped them decide who the next Alpha would be.

He went through a lot during that period. He had to face off with twenty-five other young omegas who were also vying for the position of becoming the next Alpha of the Nyx pack. The most difficult of the contestants which he faced off with was his best friend at the time, Justice.

"You're not saying anything Alpha." One of the members said.

"This is why I was against a stranger being the Alpha but what can we do against the traditions of werewolves." Another added.

Aaron was brought back to reality from his thoughts and exhaled deeply.

"Will you all calm down?" He said and walked up to the high seat where he sat down while Miram moved to take her seat beside him in an intricately designed high back seat.

A seat meant for the Alpha's Luna which she was not,

"...at least not at the moment." She thought to herself as she watched everyone seated.

"Then first tell us why you told us nothing about it." One said.

"It's because none of you is open to change and innovation. I am, and that is why I have decided to give her a chance and for all your information, her name is Mia." He responded.

"How is that an answer to our question?" Another asked.

"I will give you all an answer. I just do not like how you all are pressuring me. I am the Alpha,"

"But you still answer to us." Another interrupted with his voice a little raised.

Aaron sighed. He didn't want to tell them anything because then, they will make sure that he stuck to his agreement with Mia. He was hoping to give her more time if after three weeks she didn't make any improvements.

"I planned to go to war with the Shadow pack so that we can get the raw materials which we will use to make new weapons." Aaron stated.

"Weapons? Why would werewolves need any weapon?" The oldest one asked.

"That's what you think. What about weaker werewolves who cannot protect themselves or young werewolves who are yet to transform? And also, as I have seen and experienced, these weapons are far superior than us. It penetrates into our skin and causes a very deadly damage and we don't even have to be in close proximity." Aaron explained.

"If it penetrates into our skin, we can simply heal ourselves and at a much faster rate." Another suggested.

"It can inflict damage which will take a werewolf longer to heal. It is the weakness of werewolves. I have tested it and I have seen how much damage it has caused." He explained.

"Tell us more. What is this weapon?"

"It's not a weapon. It is what we will use to make the weapon which will make us the most invincible pack in the whole of the Werewolf kingdom." Aaron responded

"Well, what is it?" One asked.

"It's an Iron mixed silver sword. We already have iron but what we need is silver. And a few other materials like Carbon."

"Well then, a war is inevitable." Another chipped in.

"We have to raid their pack and get ourselves what we need." He added.

"That was what I thought at first until Mia came up with an even better proposition."

Miram scoffed, "it's a preposterous proposition because she doesn't even know what she is doing and could only be fooling us all and delaying our imminent success."

"On the contrary, her idea will make us even more powerful and respected." Aaron said.

"We're listening." Miram's father said.

He was a member of the council and also the most recent.

"She talked about using gems to create jewelry which we will use as a medium of exchange and since it has high value and is relatively scarce then it is perfect." He said.

"Only that she doesn't even know how to craft a design that will be unique and enticing enough for any werewolf or even Alpha to accept." Miram added in a haughty manner.

"Which is why I gave her three weeks to try to come up with something and she seemed promising." Aaron interjected, a little irritated by Miram's attitude.

"In truth, her idea is not so bad because in the end we will avoid making too many enemies and we will also retain our status as one of the richest werewolf packs in the whole werewolf Kingdom." One said

"And the most powerful." Another added.

"Are you all really listening to yourselves? Do you think we will be able to achieve that by relying on that whim." Miram said angrily.

She stood up from her seat, "we need to instill fear in the hearts of all the neighboring territory. That is how we can achieve greatness."

"But fear is a dangerous tool to use when acquiring a partnership. You won't know when they might turn on you." The eldest said.

"Well, he agreed to three weeks. If in three weeks she is not able to produce anything tangible, we will go to war." She declared.

"And who are you to decide that?" Aaron asked.

"It is not me but the council and besides a leader must never go back on his agreement." She countered.

Then she looked at the council members, "don't you all agree with that?"

They all looked anxiously and nervously from one Alpha to the next.

"Yes we do." Her father anchored.

"And what punishment awaits a failed Alpha as accustomed to the traditions and culture of the Nyx pack?" She asked openly once again.

"Abdication of the position of Alpha and exile." Her father echoed once again.

She smiled coyly and looked at Aaron who's expression was unreadable.

"Now, what will you do Aaron?" She thought evilly.
