Y/N's POV:

It felt different this time. I knew I was asleep. But everything around me felt threatening. As if danger was lurking behind one of these doors in this endless hallway of the Mystery Shack. It looked like it, but it definitely wasn't it. It was as if behind these doors somewhere was a monster, lurking for me. Something I wasn't supposed to see. While it was designed to look like the Mystery Shack, I couldn't find the exit at all. So I ended up starting to open doors. But I opened the wrong one. My foot slipped and I felt my stomach flipping as I dropped down, falling harshly into a cave. No... not any cave. The cave. The pedestal in front of me, the staircase behind. The flames from the candles suddenly start to grow in size, dancing as if fresh air had entered the room. The ground underneath me started to glow a bright yellow. I look down to see symbols carved into the ground, all of them glowing brightly the moment I had touched the ground. But even though the ground got brighter, the room around me got darker, to the point I could no longer see anything but the ground and the triangle carved into the wall. I scream out in terror as I suddenly feel something grab my wrist from behind. Squeezing my eyes shut, trying to pull away, I embrace for some kind of thing to hurt me. "Y/N- wake up!" I open my eyes instantly as I hear Bill's voice. Everything around us that was there earlier is now gone, replaced with a white void. "Breathe-" I didn't even notice how fast and sharply I was breathing until he pulled me into his chest. I burst into tears, crying my little heart out. That nightmare was too real. I feel his gloved hand softly patting my head until I've calmed down. I dry my eyes as he gently tilts my head to look at him. "Better?" I softly nod. "Then look around dear."

"Care to join me for a tea party?" I softly smile

"Care to join me for a tea party?" I softly smile. "I could go for some camomile tea-" He gently takes my hand and floats us to the small tea party, helping me sit down before taking a seat next to me and pouring us tea. I sip my tea, slowly calming down. "Your dreamcatcher has fallen. I'm guessing that's why you're having such vivid nightmares. You'll have to hang it up again to prevent nightmares. I'm not going to lie to you Y/N. It looks like you're a lucid dreamer. And I don't mean you're awake during your dreams and aware. No, you can see truths from other dimensions seeping into yours. You should stay away from your own mindscape. Until I've found a way to separate you completely from your inner touch with your other realities it's best if you stay on the surface and don't go looking into any of your doors." "My doors?" Bill nods as he rotates his tea in his cup. "The doors you saw. Each leads to a past memory. However, since you're mentally very in sync with other realities from you, theirs blend into yours."

I stare into my cup frowning. What kind of horrid reality did they live in if that's what their world looks like? "I don't get it... How can I be in sync with other realities?" Bill picks up his cup and brings it closer to him, staring at his reflection. "Simple really. You know stories like alive in wonderland right? One of your other selves might be dreaming of a peaceful world filled with adventures where she finds love. Someone else might be reading a book about your life, wishing it was her. Another one of you might have done something horrible and wish this was the path they had chosen instead. The possibilities are endless." I hold my teacup tighter. "Imagine wishing this was your reality- constantly having nightmares, then finding a place you feel at home only to find out you might destroy it all..." I look up as I feel something land on my hand. A butterfly- how pretty- "Remember Y/N. As long as I'm here, nothing is going to happen to you." "Right-" I smile feeling much calmer already.

"Bill?" I get a hum as response. "Earlier at the party- did I actually see you?" I look up only to be met by his cheeky grin. "Why of course. You were so worried about the water I wanted to show you I was there looking out for you while dancing along your thoughts too!" I softly giggle. "Yes, you made a very handsome Zorro-" He adjusts his bowtie and straightens his posture. "Why thank you little birdie, you did not look bad yourself. Did you pick out a costume with feathers on purpose?" It slowly downs on me. "No... no I did not... come to think of it- the unicorns too referred to me as a feather... what does this all mean?" I look at him for answers but he instead sips his tea trying to avoid the subject. "Another time maybe. For now I myself have a rather important question for you." I raise my eyebrow and cross my arms, the butterfly landing on my shoulder a few seconds later. "Alright go ahead then." He puts down his cup and suddenly I feel tension building up as he stares into my soul. "I want to make a deal with you."
