A lost legend (Gravity Falls x reader)

Chapter 6

Y/N's pov:

I reach my hand up to the sky trying to grab the emo boy's hand who looks like he's panicking. I knew he had a heart somewhere... . Suddenly water splashes up around me engulfing me in it's arms. OW! I quickly close my eyes as some water got in them, splashing around trying to get to the surface to breath as I suddenly had forgotten how. I try to chaotically get to the side of the river trying with all my might to get out of the current and get a hold of solid ground. But I've already stray too far into the river as I suddenly can fly. This is beautifu- wait no it's not! For a split second the water forms towards me allowing me to run to all sides. But then it throws itself into my face. The water isn't forming towards me! I'm falling off the cliff!

I crash onto solid ground before sinking into it, my back hurting like hell. The strength of the water fall pushing me and pulling me to all sides making me unable to find direction to the surface. Slowly everything starts to become blurry as I'm forcing myself to look, trying to find a way out of this deathly situation. No.... It can't end like this.... It just can't- I feel all strength starting to slip out of me at an alarming rate as I didn't realize before just how much energy I'm spending trying to save myself. I don't want to die like this-

It's... so beautiful and so peaceful... And quiet- I'm so tired. I just- I'll just close my eyes for a second and open them instantly- I promise you me. I won't fall asleep-

I feel a warm embrace around me. Maybe it's the bottom of the lake? A golden like light slowly wraps itself around me like a cocoon. Or maybe I'm seeing everything in slow-motion? My eyes close as I can't take it anymore. Until- cold air hits me like an ice-bath and I gasp coughing the living shit out of me, throwing up water.

I rub my eyes my vision focusing only after a few minutes. I roll onto my back panting, a worried group standing over me, even the emo kid is here. Both him and Dipper being wet.

"Y/N are you ok?!" Dipper is holding my hand trying to warm it.

"Take it easy- that was quite the fall. It's a wonder you didn't break anything." Emo kid is worried?

"Dude don't ever do that again-" Wendy is rubbing a towel over my legs trying to dry and warm them.

"We were so scared when we saw you on top of that waterfall!" Mabel is hugging the towel around my arm trying to warm me up with her body-temperature.

I close my eyes having a headache but the gently rubbing of a towel on my head takes it away. I open my eyes looking up wondering who this angel is taking away my pain. To my surprise it's Soos who's massaging my head gently with a towel and my hair drying it so I don't catch a cold from that. Though undoubtedly I will anyways from being so long in the cold water. I want to thank and reassure everyone but Soos shakes his head no. Not even talking. So I close my eyes again relaxing at the feeling of my body slowly warming up again. Soos' voice gently whispering to the others not to talk so I can rest. Strong arms lift me up and through the slight opening of my eyes I can see red hair. Wendy is so cool. I close my eyes again as I feel safe. Somehow I have a feeling I won't feel left out after this experience. I'm going to be ok. I'm in good hands.

I never reached the point of being tugged into bed at the Shack as I'm already deep in an otherworldly dream.
