Dipper's path

As promised, my dress/suit arrived at noon. I waited until the evening to put it on because everyone kept on trying to peak at it. Again, what's the point in a masked ball if you already know what everyone's wear is? Which is why I convinced everyone to leave at different times. That way we for sure don't know what everyone looks like until we're at the party. I just can't wait to hang out with everyone! And of course, eat all the food.

I gently brush my hair into the perfect style, putting a flower in it. There! All done!

Dipper should already be there

Dipper should already be there. I hope he's not too bored without all of us. He technically should win the tag game we made up. The last one not to be found/recognized wins. Since he'll be there the longest he should have a big chance on 1. Finding a good spot he'll blend in easily. 2. He should be able to see everyone walk in. Either him or Pacifica since the latter is there from the very start. I start to walk to the mansion. My cheeks flushed slightly. I know he won't be wearing his hat, but the flower reminds me of it. I wonder if he'll notice that I'm wearing his signature colors. I had him in mind when designing this dress/suit. Some people are already in front of me, walking through the gates of the mansion. I'm not the only one impressed. How is it even prettier than last time? I can't wait to see the inside! And boy was I right. This place was like a fairytale! I look around, finding my way to the snack table. Boy did it all look tasty! Pacifica, you've outdone yourself for real. I take one of the snacks and try it, my face filling with absolute delight at how refreshing this little salty snack tastes. I start looking around the room and seem to recognize some of the people that are already there. Some of Wendy's friends are here as well as Mayor Tyler. At least I think that's what his name is. And then I spot him. It wasn't really hard honestly. He's in a corner trying to fix his tie while his black mask keeps on falling. I smile deciding to go over and save him. I gently tap his arm. "Tag, I found you." I smile softly at him. "Y/N! You found me already?" I softly chuckle. "Need some help with that tie?" He looks really embarrassed, coughing a bit even as he looks away but nods. I get closer to him and gently start to help him put his tie on properly. I look at his outfit and notice the empty pocket in his suit. I take out the flower from my hair in it. Gently patting his chest to make sure the flower stays there. "There you g-" I suddenly realise how close our faces are. "-o" We're both staring at each other, holding our breath. Neither of us moving. I finally take back a step and look away blushing, a bit embarrassed. I hear some paper crumble and I look at what he's doing. I noticed he put some paper ball onto the table next to us. He holds out a hand to me. "H-hey it's only polite since it's your first dance and all, as a man to ask you t-to you- know- I- mean-" My face turns into a tomato as I put my hand in his. "I'd love to dance with you." Dipper seemed to beam with joy. "Really? I mean, great, let's go!" I softly chuckle and gently pull him to the dance floor. I end up being the one putting his hand on my waist and holding his hand as he gets nervous. I lead in the beginning until he grows more confident and takes over. "Hey, Dipper? I just wanted to say thank you for taking me monster-hunting to those ruins and going back when we felt it getting too dangerous. I really had fun, and I really appreciated you taking me seriously. If it's ok with you, I'd love to go on more of those together in the future." "Sure, I mean, I'm sure Mabel is cool with it an-" I cut him off. "No- I mean just the two of us..." I look down at our feet, a bit nervous about his answer. "Y-yes I would love that, I love you I mean-" We both look at each other, blushing deep red. "H-hey I'm getting a bit- lightheaded, and it's pretty hot in here. Would you maybe mind going out for some air with me?" He looks surprised but happy, quickly agreeing. I don't let go of his hand as we walk to the gardens. I remember the way as last time when the butler showed me the way to Pacifica's room we passed by this door that stood open, the gardener working on the rose bushes near the door back then. This time, every hedge is decorated with fairy lights. It was as if combined with the night sky we were surrounded by stars. I swirl around happily taking in the sight. My eyes eventually landed on Dipper who had been watching me. I give him a smile before heading over to a couple's swing. Patting down the space next to me. The moment he sits down next to me fireworks go off. I stare at the colors in awe while holding onto Dipper's arm, trying not to get disorientated. I smile as I feel him putting his arm nervously over my shoulder. I just lay down my head on his in response and continue to watch the colorful sky. Tonight couldn't have been any more perfect.
