Bill's POV:

I sigh and get up to stretch after Y/N wakes up and slowly disappears from her mindscape. Looking at my hand as she had been resting it on my lap, allowing me to let me stroke her hair. It looks so soft and shiny- don't start getting sentimental Cipher. You're a fucking demon for fucks sake! When she finds out the truth she'll hate you anyway. No. I have to start looking for the right door. Somehow this kid has hundreds of hidden doors. I'm not sure how she's hidden them so well. Especially since she doesn't even seem to realize when she dreams she's full-on in her mind and not in some wild fantasy world. Sure I can make it look like whatever, but that doesn't change the fact she doesn't know about the entire world underneath that has hallways lined up with doors. In the week she's been in Gravity Falls and I finally get to go into her mind without having my hands tied up behind my back, having to watch and wait until she gets to this place, I found 5 hidden doors. I can only know she has many hidden ones because all of the other doors in the hallway have gaps where things don't always add up. It's getting infuriating how many gaps there are at times. Only one I've been able to recall myself when I had been looking through her eyes when it happened. The house went from looking colorful to a more grey-toned world as her parents left the house for what seemed the 100th time. The freshly blown out candles and a slice of birthday cake on the small table in front of her sadly fall apart as the strawberry slides down the whipped cream. They had come back yesterday from work, yet right after they sang a ridiculous-sounding song for her and left instantly for work again after cutting the cake into eatable slices for her. Later on in her life, she went to a therapist, stating she was depressed. The little girl just sitting there sadly asking out loud why they won't stay for her. I close the door feeling heavy, yet not knowing why. In a way, she reminds me of Will when we were kids.

Stop it William! You're on a mission! "Bill?" Hmm? Is she trying to contact me? She's awake though, how is she doing this? Is she one of those humans who's deeply connected to the spirit realm? I quickly teleport to the surface of her mind and choose to just have the landscape she's in as our meeting point, being unable to think of something since it was so out of the blue for her to call me. I gently pull her into her mindscape. "Hey there birdie, you were calling me. Is everything ok?" I quickly catch her as she runs into my arms, almost collapsing in them. "Woah there! Hey, hey- what's wrong?" I quickly sit down on my knees trying to get her to look at me as she hides her face, though the moment I do I have to suppress myself from bursting into flames and giving myself away. "Why are you crying? Who did this to you?" She softly continues to sob, her shoulders shaking, I gently pull her into a hug, my eyes burning with anger wanting to kill whoever got her into this state. "A-am I really a doom-slayer?" I have to bite my tongue before letting go and making her look me in the eye again. "Who got that nonsense into your head?" She looks at me before hesitantly answering. "The unicorn said I was going to be the cause of the end of the world, that the world would end by my hand-. I-I think he was trying to say that I'm the one who's going to bring Bill back. Everyone around me seems to think so-" I hug her close again, laying my chin on her shoulder, purely so she doesn't see the rage on my face. It's impossible almost to hide. How dare they say such things to her?! This pure beautiful being who will in fact bring me back to the physical realm. But if Earth is going to die, it won't be by her hand. It'll be me killing them all for saying such disgusting things to my Y/N! "Don't worry princess. I won't let that happen. I know how the mindscape works, and I will protect you from that demon if it comes to it. Do you trust me not to let it come to that?" She nods. "Use your words, darling, let me hear you say it in your beautiful voice." I look at her, gently putting my forehead against hers. I'd rather kill myself for good than hurt this beautiful being. "I trust you completely" I give her a big grin, unable to hide my excitement. She trusts me- that's good, right? It's just for the mission... right? "Looks like your friends are coming back-" I quickly dry her tears away and kiss her forehead, hearing her mutter "I don't want to go back yet-" before disappearing right in front of me.

I pat my cheeks wondering why I suddenly feel hot. Maybe, just maybe I can look at what's going on for a second to check if she'll be ok. It's just to make sure she stays safe until I find the door of course-. I snap my fingers and a big screen appears, showing the world she's seeing live through her eyes. But I saw something else behind her friends that made me feel the need to wrap my hands around its throat and rip its hair out from it's body before breaking every bone in there body, watching as they suffocate slowly, being unable to breath through their collapsed lungs. The culprit who made my human cry. A unicorn. Anger courses through my veins, exploding into red flames setting fire to all the trees around me in the mindscape. Not noticing it left a red burn mark on the grass where Y/N had put her hand down for support. I quickly control my anger as I notice it had made her slightly feel faint. She seems to be doing better now and her friends showing her the bag seemed to cheer her up as I can basically feel the smile through her voice. Maybe I'll spare her friends as they seem to make her happy- maybe.

For now. I have to find that door quick.
