Y/N's pov:

I plop down onto my bed. What a long day it has been. I've slept so much today yet little at all. I think I've met all the Pines that stay here during summer- and all staff. The twins are down the hallway, as I got a room to myself. It's quite nice to be honest. Though I kind of feel weirdly watched- maybe that's because when I was shown the room someone commented they had changed the carpet to which everyone started to chuckle.

I slowly drag myself up to start to unpack my bags, which had been brought up by Dipper. He's quite the shy but gallant boy isn't he? What a gentleman. If only there were more people like him walking this earth maybe I wouldn't be this ridiculously (reference to miraculous ladybug) disgusted by humankind and hate most of the world. Deep in thought I put my clothes neatly in the closet. I sometimes clean up my closet at home and try to keep it like that but after a week it's a mess again as I just throw in my socks into the shelf wanting to hurry up putting away my clothes so I can do something else.

I snap out of my thoughts as I notice something that doesn't belong to me. Or so I thought. Probably another present of my parents. They're sweet but I wish they'd stop trying to pamper me with gifts to excuse their absence in my life. I slowly and carefully pull out the dream-catcher and hang it above my bed. It's even prettier as it's hanging there like that.

I gasp as the light reflecting on the golden leaves and well- everything is gold about the dream catcher

I gasp as the light reflecting on the golden leaves and well- everything is gold about the dream catcher. But the light reflecting on the dream catcher makes the room look like it's sparkling golden flakes.

Maybe I'll forgive them this once- this truly is a beautiful gift and it shows they have been listening to me. I've been complaining about sleeping bad and having weird dreams the past few months. I got sleep medication in the beginning but it seemed to make matters only worse. In the end I've just been drinking tea before going to bed and it's been helping a little bit.

"Y/N!!! ARE YOU COMING WITH US TO THE LAKE?! IT'LL BE FUN!" I'm pulled out of my thoughts again as Maple yells storming into my room without knocking. Hmm ... Fresh air could maybe freshen me up a bit as I've been thinking too much lately. And making new friends couldn't hurt-.

"Sure I'll be right there but I'd like to change first." The brunette looks like she's about to explode from happiness as she runs down. I sigh with a soft smile and pick out a comfortable (favorite color) hoodie, jeans and a white t-shirt. Spraying on deodorant before putting on my clothes so I don't stain them. I quickly change and put on my shoes running downstairs trying to shorten the time the others have to wait on me. Looks like Dipper isn't here either yet.

"Hey Maple where's your brother?" Said girl starts to giggle. Did I say something wrong?

"Ahaha sorry don't worry about it but it's Mabel not Maple. And he's still in the bathroom trying to fix his hair or something. He'll be right here in a few."

I feel my cheeks flush at the realization I said her name wrong and rub my neck awkwardly as she continues to laugh. Slowly I have to laugh as well. Why am I so worried? It was just a dumb mistake- and her laughter is so funny I can't help but laughing along. "Finally you're not stressed!" huh? I look down at my body and notice the tension I didn't even notice before has worn off. So that's why she was trying to make me laugh. She's trying to make me feel comfortable and at home. I smile softly and look back up at her giving her a grin.

"You're right. I think I'll be just fine!"
