As promised, my dress/suit arrived at noon. I waited until the evening to put it on because everyone kept on trying to peak at it. Again, what's the point in a masked ball if you already know what everyone's wear is? Which is why I convinced everyone to leave at different times. That way we for sure don't know what everyone looks like until we're at the party. I just can't wait to hang out with everyone! And of course, eat all the food.
I smiled into the mirror. I really like the baby pink color. It's soft yet shows so much emotion. I wonder if Mabel will wear pink too- I quickly slap my cheeks as I start blushing. Woah there buddy! She might be cute and all but she might not like it if you're wearing the same color dress! I quickly fix a strand of hair and head outside, up to the mansion. The fresh air hitting my heated face does help cool down. But my mind can't escape the thought of the possibility. Come on Y/N. It's not like she has a claim over some color. Besides, there will be lots of people wearing all kinds of colors. I bet baby pink is in there at least a dozen times! If anything she might be thrilled we're matching. For all we know she didn't come in pink today! I went straight to the drinks when walking in. I needed something to help me calm me down and holding something was the only thought that came to mind. A few butlers are standing by the tables making sure no one cross-contaminates or spikes anything to prevent allergies and all that. Pacifica has outdone herself with this event. I chuckle spotting Dipper almost right away, tucked away in a corner. Trying to tie his tie while his mask keeps falling off of his face. Poor dude. Not too long after Wendy makes her way into the picture, tagging Dipper. Dipper definitely lost the game of trying to be found last. I saw his face turn bright red as he looked up at Wendy who is dressed in a sea-foam green dress, her hair put up in a ponytail while she's wearing a white and gold mask. Honestly, it was her family who alerted me of her being there first though. Her father was making a big deal with the security guard about his axe being a necessary attribute to his outfit. Pacifica in a lavender dress and white mask really suited the party well. But it also made it easy to spot her as she made her way through the crowd, welcoming everyone. I put down my glass though as I see a gorgeous woman walk into the room, my breath stuck in my throat. I start making my way to her quickly before she can head to her friends. Just in time, I grab her hand making her turn around to face me. My cheeks flushed a matching pink. "Y/N- woah I didn't recognize you- you look- stunning!" I let go of her hand slightly turning my head to the dancefloor. "W-well my lady, since I found you first, would you do the honor of having a dance with me?" I hold out my hand to the gorgeous woman. Mabel was wearing a bright pink dress, the top part bedazzled completely, while the lower part looked like a hoard of flamingos lent her their feathers. I think I saw a glue gun being stuck on the bottom of her dress, her glittery pink mask had fake eyelashes glued to them for whatever reason. But that all didn't matter to me. She put her hand in mine and I could feel my stomach filling with butterflies. I can't help but smile brightly as I lead her to the floor and start dancing with her. After half an hour the others join us. They seem to have left us alone for a bit. I couldn't be more grateful. I didn't even notice how much time had passed until we all heard a big bang outside. I smile and quickly grab Mabel's hand, leading her to the windows as fireworks are being shot. I could have sworn I heard Pacifica's father ask if they ordered fireworks because he doesn't recall. My mind, however, is set on Mabel who's standing right beside me. It was starting to get too crowded though so I gently pulled her out and led her to a hallway no one was in, with giant windows facing the sky perfectly. I only know of this place because I passed by it when visiting Pacifica. And I couldn't be happier as I saw Mabel's face light up with joy at all the colors in the sky. I slightly get closer, our shoulders brushing. Nope, I can't do it! I'm already blushing as red as a tomato trying to get her alone here and then, nope! I didn't have to think or do anything anymore myself though as I felt Mabel's hand slip into mine. Our eyes meet as we're both blushing. I quickly look away while interlocking our fingers. I hear her softly giggle. Looking back I see her take off her mask and stare at the sky outside. I smile taking off my own looking at the fireworks as if they were shooting stars. Thank you for this perfect night my colorful stars. It couldn't have been any more perfect.
