Eva's birthday was at the end of May and once again, she had decided to ignore it. She purposely didn't talk about with Liam and she made sure it wasn't on FaceBook. She had her last final that day anyhow, so she able to get up and out of the house before Liam was even awake. She breathed a sigh of relief as she walked into the math final. He last ever math final. After this semester, she was finally going to be taking classes for her major. She found seats near Marian and Dylan. They were arguing about something. As soon as they sat down, they stopped.
"Okay, what's up?" Eva asked.
"You tell her. I'm not going to be the one Liam gets mad at." Dylan crossed her arms and sat back.
"Okay, uh...Eva, I hate to tell you this but Liam is having..." Marian started.
"STOP. STOP RIGHT THERE! Oh, god. CanI hide at your flat until tomorrow, Marian? Please!" Eva begged."Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"Liam only just told us. He knew we would rat him out." Dylan said. "We got you. No problem. I Swear!"
Eva breathed a sigh of relief. She Could take her math final with no worries. When they finished, Marian suggested lunch. "I have nothing at my place and I'm starved."
Dylan drove Eva's little Mini Cooper to a fancy looking restaurant. "Why here? Let's just get McDonalds or....You bitches. You tricked me, didn't you? He's in there, right? You are both OUT of the wedding! Turn in your Jimmy Chu's!" Eva started to scream.
Marian looked at Dylan. "Good thing he has us do this. Grab that side. I've got this one." Each girl grabbed Eva under her arms and carried her into the restaurant, kicking and screaming. "Calm down, Eva. You don't want to look stupid in front of everyone, okay? Jeez!" Marian told her.
"Let's take her to the bathroom first. Let her relax so she's not so red in the face." Dylan suggested.
Dylan: We are here. She's freaking out in the bathroom
Liam: Why did you tell her?
Dylan: We didn't. She's not dumb. We don't eat lunch at fancy places.
Liam: Damn her. I'm coming.
Liam knocked on the bathroom door."Evie?" he called.
"And, we're leaving!" Dylan grabbed Marian and they left.
Eva looked up at Liam. "I don't want a party."
"I know."Liam said. "It's not a party. It's just lunch. With your friends."
"Swear to god?" Eva asked.
"Yes, I swear to god. It's your birthday. I wouldn't want to piss you off. Let's go." He took her hand and led her to the private dinning room.
"Hey! Happy Birthday!" Niall said. "Sit!"
Eva looked around. It was only people she knew. One stranger. Louis' date? She she with Niall on one side and Liam on the other. Turning to Liam she said, quietly, "I'm sorry. I should have trusted you."
He whispered back, "So, now you owe me." and grinned at her.
The lunch was perfect. They had carrot cake for dessert and nobody sang. Everyone got her small cute gifts off her wishlist, mostly baking items because Liam didn't bake and had nothing. Then, everyone left, leaving just Eva and Liam. "Okay?" he said.
She nodded.
"Great! Part Two! Let's go! Your bag is in my car."
"My what?"she asked.
"Bag. We are leaving. I have your passport and clean clothes." He grabbed her hand and led her out of the restaurant and to his car. An hour later, they were at the airport. They checked in and got on a tiny plane.
"Why such asmall plane? Where are we going?" Eva asked.
"Trust me."Liam said.
Eva watched out the window, hoping for a hint, but all she saw were clouds.
"Hey, you owe me, remember? Want to join the mile high club?" he winked at her.
"Uh, no. Thereis no bathroom and the pilot is right there." Eva said.
"So?" Liam asked. "We did it in a car while Paddy was driving."
"There was a divider."
Just then the pilot announced that they would be landing. Eva sighed in relief. They landed in the middle of nowhere, as far as Eva could tell. There Was a car waiting and Liam pulled her in. Moments later they drove down the road of the town that looked familiar.
"We are in France!" Eva exclaimed. "You are taking me to that cabin!" She did a little happy dance in her seat.
"Good surprise?" Liam asked. Eva nodded, looking out the window. Soon enough, the cabin they had first made love in, appeared between the trees. The car stopped and they went inside. It was just as she remembered. The three little bears cabin with a too soft big brass bed. Liam shut the door and dragged the suitcase over to the bed. "Check the fridge. I asked to have it stocked for us." Eva opened it and saw that they had enough food for a few days.
Satisfied, she walked over the lounge area and sat on the big, overstuffed sofa. She kicked off her shoes and laid down to take a nap.
She woke up to a delicious smell. Sitting up, she stretched and looked around. Liam was in the tiny kitchen taking something out of the oven. "Hey, sleepy! Are you hungry? I think it's a chicken pot pie kinda thing? It smells good." Eva nodded her head. He dished up two plates and brought them over to the sofa. They ate in comfortable silence. When Eva had enough, she leaned against Liam, yawning. "If you are tired, we can watch movies in bed. I brought my macbook."
"That plan sounds amazing. I'm going to change." Eva jumped up and went over to the suitcase. She opened it and dug around for her nightshirt or something to wear to bed. "Liam. Did you pack my jammies?"
"Yes. They are in there." he called from the kitchen.
Sighing, she dug around some more finding her black satin nightie and her purple satin nightie. "Are you serious Liam?" She held up the two skimpy choices.
"Deadly serious." he said smiling.
"You are not allowed to pack for me ever again" she laughed.
