By the time they got home, Eva was freezing and she had a blister on her baby toe. Everyone else was eating dinner or watching TV. Eva took Liam upstairs. "I'm so cold. I'm going to get in the tub." Eva said.

"Why are you so cold?" Liam asked. "I'm cold, but not too bad."

"Check the pocket of your suitcoat." Eva said, walking to the bathroom.

Liam suck his hand in the pocket and pulled out her ripped underwear. He felt like an ass. Not only was she wearing a dress, she didn't have underpants on. Here he was in a suit, with pants and underwear. He just shook his head, undressed down to his boxers and went into the bathroom, locking the door behind him. Eva was testing the water. "Is it okay if I join you?" he asked.

"This tub isn't as big as yours. I don't think we will both fit." Eva explained.

"Ok" Liam said, giving her his sad puppy face. Only this time, she didn't think he was faking. He was really sad. Somehow, they had managed to ruin what could have been an okay day.

"Hang on." Eva grabbed her phone off the counter and wrapped herself in a towel.

Eva: Can I use your tub? I want to soak and ours is too small.

Gwen: In the master?

Eva: Yes.

Gwen: That's Andrew's room. The tub in my room is fairly big and it has jets. You can use it.

Eva: Thanks.

Eva grabbed another towel for Liam and her clothes. She walked out of the bathroom, and threw her clothes into her bedroom. "Throw your boxers in there and wrap up in this. I don't want to leave clothes by accident. Andrew taught me that lesson." Then she walked Liam down the hall. "Master" she pointed. He peaked in. This bedroom had a huge balcony and a living room? Across the hall she pointed. "Guestroom, with private bath, Same, same" Then they came to a door at the end of the hall. "The mother in law suite." Eva opened the door. It just looked like a huge bedroom. Then Eva pulled him forward, pointing, closet, bathroom, living room, kitchenette. This room also had a balcony, big enough for a table and chairs.

"Holy Crap. I felt bad for your mom, but fuck that. This is nice." Liam said.

Eva pointed to another door. "Private entrance, opens onto the patio."

Eva pulled him back to the bathroom. Inside there was a tub about the size of the one they had at home. He turned around and locked the door. Eva started to fill the tub. She didn't even wait, she got right in. "Are you that cold?" Liam asked. Eva nodded. "Okay, I'm coming in." Liam climbed in behind her and pulled her back so she was laying on him. "We need to figure out a way to stop fighting."

"Fish eggs works great on me. Why can't it be the same for you?" Eva asked.

"It can, but I mean in general. Like, if I say no, don't push me. And I will do the same. We need to learn to communicate and listen to each other. And tell each other the whole truth. Today I told you no and that I wasn't comfortable. I wish you had respected that." Liam said.

"I understand. And you are right. It was reckless. I should have respected you. I just got it in my head, my high school fantasy of making out on that couch. I'm sorry." Eva said.

"Look how nicely we can talk if we are both calm. That must be the trick. Before you talk about a situation, be calm." Liam said. "So, Rule 1. Listen to the other person's fish egg. Rule 2. If you don't agree with their fish egg, stay calm and discuss it."

"Listen to how grown up we are!" Eva giggled.

"Well, I want to be with you forever. I'm not kidding about that. So, we need to learn to fight better." Liam said.
