Part 19

 Eva opened the door, stepped out and ran for the elevator. She pushed the down button. The door pinged and opened just as Liam was running out the room. "Evie! Wait!" he yelled.

Eva spun around, looked him dead in the eye, ripped the engagement ring off her finger and chucked it at him. "I hope she was worth it, asshole!" she yelled. Then she stepped into the elevator and pressed close door and lobby.

"God DAMMIT! God Damn her! She is such a pain in the ASS!" Liam was screaming in the hall.

Lex was in Niall's room and heard him yelling. She opened the door and said, "Liam?"

He spun around. "Lex? Help me!"

She heard her phone go off. It was Eva.

Eva: Had to leave, see you later.

Lex: Why?

Eva: I've been replaced.

Lex: What?

Lex: What??

Lex: Answer me!

She looked up at Liam who was pushing the down button over and over, trying to make it move faster. "What does she mean, she'd been replaced? And you are in your underwear. You can't go in lobby like that."

"Oh, for Christ's Sake! What is wrong with your sister? Why doesn't she stop and think? She always jumps to the worst case scenario, never gives me time to explain." Liam yelled at Lex. Just then, a blonde woman walked out of Liam's room. Lex looked at Liam, horrified and slammed the door shut.

Lex: Answer me! Who is that woman in Liam's room?

Eva: Leave me alone.

Lex: What in the hell is going on?

Eva: Please leave me alone. Turning off phone.

Niall stepped out of the bathroom. "What's all the screaming about?" he asked.

Lex looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "I don't think I can see you anymore. My sister just had her heart ripped out by your friend. My quiet, shy sister, who will now most likely become a cat lady or a nun. I need to go."

"What? Wait. What in the hell are you talking about?" Niall asked. "I have the right to know why you don't want to see me. Did  he break up with her? Liam wouldn't do that again.."

"He has a woman in his room. A blonde woman." Lex said, sitting down on the bed.

"And? So? His sister is here. We were all drinking and playing cards. She fell asleep in his bed. He didn't want to wake him. What's the big deal?"

"Wait. It's Ruth? Liam's sister?" Lex was so confused. Why was Eva upset? "Eva must not know it's Ruth. She left."

There was banging on the door. "Niall! Open the door!" Liam was screaming. Lex got up and opened it for him. He came flying into theroom. "What do I do, Lex? What do I do?"

Lex looked down at her phone. Eva had turned hers off. She looked up at Liam. "She didn't know it was Ruth?" Liam looked at her and rolled his eyes. "Okay. Okay. I guess not. First, you need clothes.Then we have to find her. She turned off her phone."

"Wait! I have that 'find my iPhone app' on our phones. Can't that track her?"

"I think the phone has to be on for that to work." Lex said. "Let me think. We are in Chicago. She's upset. Where would she go.What would she do....okay. I have three ideas. One, the art museum. She likes it because it's quiet. Two, Ed Debevits because they serve ice cream sodas. Three, the atrium at Navy Pier where the fountains spit water across the sidewalks. We like to watch people get hit who aren't paying attention."
