The walk home

Clarity stepped back and looked at the room. It was all clean, and there were plenty of things on the shelves. The boxes she had brought with her were unloaded and in their proper place. The stack of broken down boxes sat by the door twinned and ready to be put into the trash.

She stretched, feeling her back pop in several locations. Oh, a nice bubble bath sounded so good to her. She looked around at her Machamp who sat down on the ground. A small cup of tea in his hand as he waited for more orders. It would seem there wouldn't be any.

The door opened and Emmet looked inside. He looked almost surprised at the state of the place.

"Hey, it actually looks good in here." He nodded looking at his brother as he peeked inside.

"Forgive my brother, what he means is the previous doctor was a bit of a pack rat." Clarity giggled as she motioned to the boxes.

"Should I uh...l-leave these outside the door or is there janitorial?" She asked, looking up at Machamp as he stretched. Allowing his partner Aipom to climb onto his shoulder.

"Ah, let's just put it outside the door for Gram to take. He's our janitor." Emmet jumped back watching as the Machamp walked over and picked up the healthy pile of boxes and placed them just outside the door.

"Champ." He flexed and motioned for them to see. Clarity looked at her watch and gasped.

"Oh my...it's that late already. No wonder why you two are here. You're-You're shooing us out. The L-Last train hasn't left yet has it?" She stuttered quickly picking up a bag from the table that looked just like the one that had the lunch box in and a briefcase.

"Not yet, we still have ten minutes. If you do not mind we wouldn't mind walking you home to make sure you find your way safely." Ingo tipped his hat respectfully. Clarity smiled as she looked up at her Machamp and tapped him with his pokeball.

"Oh it's uh...it's okay if you don't. It's not like I..." She heard her phone go off in her pocket. She looked at it and rolled her eyes putting the phone into a glass of water. It fizzled and popped.

"How bad could it have been to destroy your phone? Those things are expensive." Emmet asked, looking at her phone as it swirled in place.

"No reason." Her face broke into a smile. Ingo looked at Emmet who looked just as flabbergasted as his brother.

"Are you...alright?" Ingo asked her. She just gave an equally as big smile again.

"Never better. Shall we then?" She stepped onto the platform spotting the red line train arriving and got in. Sitting down and sighed. Her fingers ran over her Lycanroc as she watched the twins climb on and sit across from her. Ingo placed his bag on his lap. It was a soft bottomed briefcase much like his brothers.

'Did they always do things together?' She wondered to herself. She however looked up as the amusement park went by. She honestly wanted to go, she was never allowed in her youth.

"Ever go? It's quite fun." Emmet said as he watched the ferris wheel with its many lights flying overhead in the growing dark night sky. The last sunlight was fading back behind the mountains.

"I've never been anywhere like that before. Fair, carnival, theme park, circus. My parents always wanted me to study and go to college." She sighed as she stood up. The train began to slow back down.

"Your parents sound like they cared a lot about you." Ingo offered an attempt to break the ice. She looked down at her feet. Her Lycanroc growled. Its ears folded back.

"Sure they do..." She cleared her throat and looked back up. "Anyways I uh g-gotta grab some food at the grocery store." She stepped back onto the platform and jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see Emmet.

It would seem there was a festival going on. Emmet's forever smile looked down at her and motioned. "Then allow us to invite you to your first."

Clarity's mouth went dry. She looked at the many different people in front of her. Was this for pokemon day? Oh she could never keep up with the many things they ended up doing here. She looked up at the twins and gulped.

Was this a trap? Were they going to take her and then ditch her? Oh this was bad...this was very very bad. What now?

"I uh...suppose...it would be okay?" What was she saying!? This wasn't good, they were just going t...Ingo offered his arm and Emmet offered his other arm and guided her toward the center of the throng of people.

"If you get too overwhelmed we'll leave immediately. No harm done." Ingo told her.

Oh...this was such a bad idea.
